“Jonny, The way forward is to describe football (training) in football action

language (say what you really mean/see) rather than general non-contextual

terms (pillars, corners).

The traditional reference is not only described in general non-contextual

terms but is also incorrect. In particular, the term 'tactics/tactical' is

incorrectly used.

This term is used both for describing how players work together at team level

(playing style) and for describing the decision making of individual players.

I hope you understand that this is incorrect. The communication between

players at team level is indeed what one calls 'tactics' or 'tactical'. The

decision making of individual players has nothing to do with tactics but is

based on 'game insight'.

Also, the word 'mental' is incorrect if one refers to complex taking place

inside the body (brain).

And finally, the phenomenon 'fitness' (or physical) is traditionally incorrectly

defined.

It is not one of the pillars (corners) but is a underlying condition to

communicate (tactics), make decision (game insight) and execute decisions

(technique), more frequently (higher tempo) and for longer (90 minutes).
