a financing incentive to achieve the objectives of JNNSM.

Accelerated depreciation @ 80% of the invested capital with tax liabilities
under Sec 32 of the IT Act and 20% AD allowed in second year
Section 80-IA (sub section 4) of income tax Act, 1961 allows 100%
tax waiver on the income generated for any single 10 year period
during first 15 years of operational life of a power generation project
GBI generation based incentives in the form of RECs - Renewable Energy
Certificates - now being traded at INR 3.5 to 5.8 for every unit of energy
generated by the solar plant and valid for a period of three years from
the date of issuance
No wheeling and transmission charges
