We had a great 8th week of Nearpod lessons with our scholarsand we are ready to start week 9. We want to thank our Stallionscholars, educators and our parents/guardians for your leadership and support. We includedupdated information in regards to 8th grade clearance and end of year information. Only 8thgrade students who need to return athletic or �ne arts equipment will need to clear. 8th grade clearance & end of year information
A certi�cate of advancement will be provided to each 8th grade student. Certi�cates willbe mailed out by our counselors the week of Tuesday, May 26 through Thursday, May 29.Top 10 8th grade students will receive a recognition certi�cate along with theiradvancement certi�cate. Top 10 will also be recognized in our Stallion weekly newsletterand on a Twitter post the week of May 26-29.Teachers have created �ip grid videos for our 8th graders wishing them good luck on theiracademic journey to high school. A link to teacher videos is available on the Slider MiddleSchool homepage. Please click on the following link to access the videos.https://www.sisd.net/williamdslidermsAll grades for marking period 4 are due no later than Thursday, May 28th.Only 8th grade students that have pending transactions will be called to clear. Ascheduled appointment will be made and will include a date and a time. Clearance daysfor these identi�ed students will be: Thursday, May 14, Thursday, May 21 and Thursday,May 28th from 11:00 am to 1:00 PM. Athletics and Fine Arts will be making calls toidenti�ed students and families this week to schedule an appointment and time. Thebuilding will not be open and families are encouraged to adhere to all CDC guidelines.All library �nes have been waived and if a student has a book, they will return this bookwhen school reopens. The only library books that will be picked up will be for studentswho are attending an out of District campus. Please email Mr. Rios at [email protected] cafeteria �nes have been waived.No textbooks were issued to students as the campus has class sets.Yearbooks: Sponsor, Mrs. Julie Reyes will be scheduling pick up times for yearbooks thatwere purchased. Calls will be made within the next week.

stallions on the moveWe are moving into week 9 of our remote learning academylessons. Our Stallion educator nearpod lessons are available onour Stallion website for you to follow at home. On the campuswebsite click on the remote learning academy link which willtake you directly to our lessons and activities.
Our Stallion educators have combined weeks 9 and 10 Nearpod lessons. Week 10 is a shortweek and our Stallion educators will be �nalizing all grades on Thursday, May 28th at noon.
We are working on our summer school virtual plan for our Stallions scholars. Stallions whohave not completed their marking period 4 course work will be recommended to our summersessions. Detailed information will be included on next weeks newsletter.
