Queridos hermanos y hermanas,

El evangelio de hoy es un llamado a la

generosidad. Allí, los ricos y los pobres colocan sus

ofrendas en la tesorería del templo. Una viuda pobre

es notada por el Señor porque ella dio de su pobreza

no su excedente. No somos una parroquia "rica" per

se, pero creo que somos una parroquia muy generosa.

Muchas personas dan su tiempo y recursos para

ayudar a nuestra parroquia y a los necesitados. Al

igual que la historia del Antiguo Testamento de una

viuda sufriente que comparte con el profeta Elías su

última cantidad de harina, ambas lecturas enfatizan

dar de corazón y ofrecer a Dios los primeros frutos, no

lo que queda de sobra. Es importante que cada uno de

nosotros compartamos generosamente para que

nuestra parroquia haga el trabajo del Reino. Se nos

recuerda que Dios no será superado en generosidad,

ya que la jarra de harina de la viuda no se vació, ni la

jarra de aceite se secó (1 Reyes 17:14). Les deseo una

semana llena de las bendiciones del Señor.
