Upcoming Worship Focus:
Coming Back Beginning Sunday, June 7,
2020
We are all looking forward to that
day – and we are beginning to prepare now Many things will look
very different when we are able to return to our sanctuary for
worship – but God’s presence and
promise remains the same. So, over the course of the next several
weeks, we will focus on Biblical accounts of coming back and
returning. We will look at both Old
and New Testament stories such as:
Jacob returning home, The Hebrews in the land of Egypt, the parable of
the Two Sons and Jesus’ words to Peter, in light of his denial.
There are still many more unknowns but we will continue to
work towards once again being together and we may not know the exact date of when we will return
our church building, but when we do, we will be prepared not only
physically, but spiritually as well.

EXPLORING OUR FAVORITE BIBLE VERSES
What is your favorite Bible
verse? Or Bible story? Why? Does it call up a specific
memory? Give you constant inspiration?
On Tuesday, June 2, 2020 St. Andrew’s will launch a new Bible
study on FaceBook …”Conversations With The Word.”
This study will explore relevant
information and inspiration of the favorite verses or stories that are
shared. Our first session will focus on Matthew 5:13, which tell us that we are “the salt of the earth.” The
study will last about 20 minutes per session, will air live on Facebook,
Tuesdays at 12:00 noon and then be available anytime on the St. Andrew’s FaceBook page and
website – who knows, maybe your favorite verse will become someone
else’s favorite as well!
If you would like a particular verse
or story explored, please send the following information to
Favorite Bible verse or story:
Name: The reason it’s my favorite:

During this time of anxiety and
isolation The Upper Room wants to make it as easy as possible
for people to find resources to support spiritual health. We are
providing the May/June 2020 issue of The Upper Room
magazine, both in English and Spanish, for download at no
cost. In addition, four short prayer resources that address
specific needs are also available
Over the next few weeks, St. Andrew’s Online will be featuring personal stories from your church family
which will put a smile on everyone’s face. While our lives have been turned upside down, many of our
church family members have been busy making a difference for so many by understanding what needs
to be done and doing it.
SPECIAL THANKS TO THE PINE BARONS, KEENAGERS, PLUS
OSKAR AND BARBARA GMUNDER
Every February, the Cherry Hill PINE BARONS have a
fund-raising plan which they offer to the
community. People can “purchase” a gift of song for a loved one – then a quartet of Pine Barons will go to
homes or workplaces and serenade special Valentines with appropriate, fun love songs!
On the First Thursday of each month, September
through June, the St. Andrew’s Keenagers meet in Wesley Hall for a pot luck luncheon and some
entertainment. Oskar and Barbara Gmunder are the leaders of the group and Sharon Powell is the chef
who prepares the main, meat dish for the meal – attendees bring side dishes to share. Marilyn Ivers
comes in earlier in the morning to set and decorate the tables with seasonal decorations .
On February 14, 2020 a quartet from Pine Barons went to the homes of Marilyn Ivers and Sharon Powell
and surprised them with the gift of song as well as a heart shaped box of chocolates, a long-stemmed red
below. Please download and share as you wish. Peace be with
you. https://www.upperroom.org
The Upper Room is able to provide these booklets for free
because of generous donors who give to support our ministries. If
you would prefer a hard copy, please let us know and we will
mail you a copy as soon as we can.

ST. ANDREW’S SENIOR MEMBERS WHO
WOULD APPRECIATE A CALL!
During the Covid19 Pandemic the past few months, many of our members and friends have been
extremely isolated. Oskar and Barbara Gmunder have made a list of
some people they feel could use some TLC. If you
could be that loving person to reach out to one friend to bring some joy in their life to know you are
thinking about them, we encourage you to do that or if you would like to help
Oskar and Barbara with their list, please give them a call at 856-489-0915. We miss everyone and
they miss us.
