PRAYER TIME is listed two times a day on the calendar above. One of the times is 7 pm in hopes that your entire family will sit down
together for a time of prayer. If you are alone in your home, call a friend and pray with them. Then, Monday - Saturday you will notice
the prayer time is listed at 9 am. Take time to lift up a prayer! Start reading a chapter in the Bible, begin going through your church
directory praying for one another, or even try journaling - possibly a “Thanks” journal. Stay close to God and one another through
prayer!

COVID Can’t Keep Our Kids Down!
Kids don’t stop during
Social Distancing. They keep on doing homework, riding in cars, doing art,
changing their hair, learning about nature
and graduating. Kudos to our kiddos for being so resilient. St. Andrew’s loves their children!

BIG WORSHIP NEWS - HUGE
During the Session Meeting on March 19, (conducted virtually), the Session designated Sunday, June 14 as the TENTATIVE date for the return of in-person worship services at St. Andrew’s. The next few weeks are needed to consider, and with God's guidance and help, implement the many necessary safety steps which must be accomplished to restart in person Worship Services. Those steps may include: coordination of entry into the Sanctuary by Members and visitors in which each person's temperature is taken by digital scan, disinfecting and sanitation of the Sanctuary before and after worship, providing enough space between each person (other than families) to maintain adequate social distance, avoiding interactions such as handshakes or hugs, providing face masks for those persons who desire to wear a mask and concluding the Worship Service in a manner that allows worshipers to leave without congregating in the aisles or exits. The next several weeks will require volunteers to accomplish these tasks. Thank you in advance for your prayers, cooperation and assistance. We look forward to safely seeing all of you.
Bruce Partain, Worship Team Chair

Last Sunday was a blessing in disguise in more ways than one! I called my Mom on Saturday and asked if I could pick her up for church on Sunday morning. I explained that we would be joining Steve and Zoe in the living room to watch the St. Andrew’s live stream together. Without hesitation she said yes! Saturday evening at dinner when I was sharing with Zoe and Steve that mom would be coming for dinner and that Rev. Margaret Desmond would be preaching, Zoe immediately asked what is the word. At first, I didn’t get her question but after more conversation, I understood. Zoe wanted to know what words Margaret would be asking the children to listen for during the service. I shared that the title of Margaret’s message was The Unknown God and I did not know her word. That was that and no more was said. We were all in our places on Sunday morning ready for worship, except Zoe, who was flitting around like a butterfly. She tore 4 pieces of paper out of her notebook and drew a line to divide the paper in half. On the top half she wrote the letter “N” for Nown (Known) then on the bottom half the letter “G” for God. She handed each of us a writing utensil out of her desk and then explained to her Oma what she was to do. From the moment the worship service started we all began making tally marks for those two words. Zoe listened intently to the service. She kept a close eye on her Grampa and when he did not make a mark when he should have, she would whistle at him until he glanced her way and then she would raise her pencil in the air and make an “air tally mark” and he would follow orders. The three adults in the room would discreetly smile to one another. We sang, and prayed aloud, we worshipped together and with you! To God be the glory!
Blessing #1 – Rev. Margaret Desmond bringing a beautiful spirit filled message.
Blessing #2 – All 4 of us sitting together for worship. We haven’t done that in a very long time.
Blessing #3 – Zoe being actively interested in her being part of the service.
Blessing #4 – A team of dedicated St. Andrew’s Volunteer and Staff serving to God’s glory
with their God given gifts.
Blessing #5 – Even though there were only 4 of us in one place, we
were certain that many of our friends and members
were worshipping God too.
I’m sure there are many more, but I am running out of room.
Julie

JULIE’S JOURNEY
DAY SCHOOL NEWS We are so excited to announce we will have little
"ANGELS" in the halls and classrooms of the Day School starting June 2nd. We have missed our
students and can't wait to see them all. There will
be many new policies in place to protect the health and safety of our students and staff. Please

SCHOLARSHIP INFO
THANK YOU Thanks to each of you who have mailed in your tithes and offerings by
check to the church. Also to those who have made their contributions online. It is very helpful during this time. If you would continue mailing
them or paying them online until we get further along in this process, it
will be greatly appreciated. If you need to speak with me for any reason, please leave a message at 409-201-4561, and I will get back to
you.
Thank you,
Bruce Burnside, St. Andrew’s Treasurer
Well, it is late May and we are just starting the process for St. Andrews Foundation scholarships for next fall. Sorry for the tardiness but the coronavirus has slowed down everything. However, the time is now getting short!
The Anderson scholarship is for first-semester freshmen and the Drennan scholarship is for students who have completed 24 credit hours by June 1, 2020.
Applications are available on the St. Andrew’s website (saintandy.org/about/st-andrews-foundation). The deadline for applications have changed to June 10, 2020.
If you have any questions, please contact Martha Pate at [email protected] or text her at (409) 718-1150.
ZOOM MEETING INFORMATION
Every Tuesday and Thursday, members of St. Andrew’s are meeting via a ZOOM meeting just to hang
out virtually, laugh and encourage each other. This can be done with a computer or smart phone. Julie sends out an invitation email before the meetings occur. All you have to do is click on the link in
the email. This opens up a window. If ZOOM is not downloaded on your computer, a download
should automatically start. Once the program is downloaded, a message will prompt you to enter the meeting ID. This information is found in the email. You may want to write it down so you can enter it
(unless you can copy and paste it easily). When you’re in the meeting, you’ll start seeing friendly
faces and hearing their voices. Some people keep their audio muted, unless they’re asked to talk, as to keep background noise at a minimum. If you’d like to practice ahead of time, please contact Julie.
