THE VOICES OF ST. ANTHONY'S Across our nation, struggles with racism, injustice and social unrest are prevalent right now. Join us on Wednesday, July 29, at 7:00 PM, in St. Anthony’s Social Hall, to hear the stories of some of our own diverse parishioners and walk away with a better understanding and appreciation of life in someone else's shoes. We hope you take advantage of this great opportunity to build community here at St. Anthony’s. FAITH & FITNESS RETURNS! Our Faith & Fitness class is back in session! Join us on Wednesdays, at 11:45 AM, in St. Anthony’s Social Hall. There should be plenty of room to spread out and keep physically distant from others. This class is for all ages and focuses on standing and seated stretching movements with prayer. It is performed standing next to or seated on a chair and is taught by certified fitness instructor, Deb Kuntz. We hope you will come and give it a try!

Religious Education and Youth
CATECHISTS NEEDED for Religious Edu-cation, Fall 2020. Have you ever considered being a teacher for our religious education program? We need you! Being a Catechist (teacher) means sharing the Truth of Christ with young people. You don’t need to be an expert, simply love God and our students by preparing for class each Wednesday evening. Contact Maria through the Parish Office for additional information, and please consider this great opportunity to evangelize our youth! RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND SACRAMENT REGISTRATION FOR 2020-21 Registration is now up and available through our website for this upcoming year’s sacraments and religious education. Find out more and register today at stanthonyfargo.org. TRINITY YOUTH CAMP Calling all campers entering 4th-8th grade! There are still openings at our July 22-26 camp, at Metigoshe Ministries, near the Peace Gardens. Discover what it means to BE a saint and how we are all called to BE saints! Our staff includes: directors, a resident camp priest, an onsite nurse, session leaders, trained counselors and counselors-in -training ready to ensure that your child has the best experience possible. If you do attend Mass, please note our current guidelines: 1. Masks are encouraged but not required. 2. You now have the option to receive the Eucharist on the tongue as well as in the hand. 3. A reminder, we are only distributing communion in the parking lot at the 9:00 AM Sunday Mass. 4. We are resuming some of our ministries. These include:
*Proclaimers –at all weekend and weekday Masses *Altar Servers – on a limited basis. Only one family of servers may serve per Mass. Also, Servers will not wear albs or cassocks at this time, so we ask that you please dress in your Sunday best. *Mass Coordinators—at all weekend and weekday Masses
5. We will not resume EMHC’s at Mass yet, as we are still not distributing communion from the chalice. 6. Last week we began having some music at Mass. The congregation is still asked to refrain from singing, so
the Cantors will chant the Entrance and Communion Antiphons and an Offeratory Hymn. We will continue to pray the St. Michael the Archangel prayer at the close of Mass.
7. We are still required to omit the Exchange of Peace and the Offertory Procession, so we will keep the box at the back of the Church for you to place your offering in as you arrive.
8. We will no longer be ushering individuals to their places. We ask that you please not sit in pews marked with red tape, and do your best to abide by the blue tape markings in the open pews.
9. We will continue to livestream the 9:00 AM Sunday Mass via Facebook and also have this available on our St. Anthony’s YouTube Channel.

Mass Guidelines in Transition - An Update
JULY 19-25 IS NATIONAL NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING AWARENESS WEEK! Natural Family Planning (NFP) methods represent authentic family planning. They can be used to both achieve and to post-pone a pregnancy. NFP makes use of periodic abstinence in order to space births or to limit the number of children when there is a serious reason to do so. This practice fosters in couples an attitude of respect and wonder in the face of human life, which is sacred. It also fosters profound respect for one’s spouse, which is necessary for authentic intimacy. WOMEN’S RETREAT AT MARYVALE Sisters Dorothy Bunce and Anne Germaine Picard will be presenting the women’s retreat “Knowing our God through the Psalms” at Maryvale in Valley City from July 24 at 7:00 PM to July 26 at 12:30 PM. The psalms have formed the spiritual life of people for centuries. Come relax, be still, pray, listen, and talk with others as you seek God. Suggested donation is $85. To register contact 701-845-2864 or [email protected]. OCTOBER WOMEN’S RETREAT Join us for Jesus Approaches: A Women's Retreat, which will be led by award-winning author and writer Liz Kelly. The retreat will be Friday, October 16, beginning at 7:00 PM through Noon on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at the Franciscan Retreat Center in Hankinson, ND. It will include conferences, time for prayer and rest, social time, Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and the opportunity to go to confession. The cost for the retreat is $200.
