Please note that October 21-22, 2017 is World Mission Sunday. At Mass we will collect the envelopes, which you can find at the doors of the church. This collection helps bring the Gospel to people throughout the world who otherwise would not hear the Good News of the Gospel. Your contributions are most greatly appreciated. Due to the bus trip to Our Lady of Good Help Shrine there will not be Mass on Tuesday, October 24. Please keep the parishioners, who are traveling on Monday and Tuesday, in your prayers. October is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary. Before weekend masses during the month of October the Rosary will be prayed in both Parishes. Come early to join in. Sacred Heart and St. Anthony’s Altar & Rosary Societies are having a Holiday Gathering on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 6:30 pm at Z Best in Annawan. Please bring a Christmas Ornament ($10 maximum) to exchange. Reservations are due by Monday, November 6th. Sign up sheets are by the main doors of both parishes. Please
mark your calendar and sign up. Please contact SueAnn Wells at 309-945-6004 for more information. We hope all of the ladies of the parishes will join us! A Memorial Mass for Deceased Military Chaplains of the Diocese of Peoria will be on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. at the Shrine of the Queen of Holy Rosary, LaSalle, Illinois. During Mass a special recognition will be given to the living chaplains. Mark your Calendar: Ticket sales for Spring Raffle go on sale February 4, 2018. Trivia night will be Saturday, March 17, 2018 and The Spring Raffle will be Saturday May 5, 2018. There is good news if you have reached age 70 1/2 and you would like to help your parish. If you have an IRA, the government requires you to take out a certain amount each year and be subject to federal tax. However, the law allows you to donate this amount directly to your parish during 2017 and have it distributed free of federal income tax.! What a wonderful opportunity to help
their parish. Please call your tax advisor or call Bill Engelbrecht at the Diocesan Office of Development at (309) 671-1550 ext. 7093 2017 Annual Diocesan Appeal Thank you to all who have made a pledge to the Annual Diocesan Appeal. No gift is too small, and our parish is trying to reach 100% participation. If you have not yet made a gift to the ADA, we invite you to do so today. There are pledge cards in the vestibule. Every dollar raised to make our goals supports important diocesan services and every dollar raised over our goals will be kept in the parishes for improvements. St. Anthony Update: We have pledges of $22,890 toward our goal of $34,445. Leaving a balance of $11,555. We have received pledge cards from 93families for 66% of our goal. Sacred Heart Update: We have pledges of $10,118 toward our goal of $15,348. Leaving a balance of $5, 230. We have received pledge cards from 67 families for 66% of our goal.

Thanksgiving celebration with them. Please contact Arlyn &

fill out an application to be a host family. Application

Pennies for Life cans will be at the entrances of each church.
Suggested donation is one cent for each year of your life, in
thanksgiving to God for the life God has given you. This
collection supports the Family Resources Center, devoted to
providing pro-life/pro-family resources free of charge to
individuals, CCD programs, youth groups, etc. Any and all
donations are greatly appreciated. Please encourage your
entire family to participate and continue to pray that everyone
will come to respect ALL life from conception until natural
