St. Barnabas School (SBS) is a special place where students from pre-school through 8th grade are encouraged to learn and achieve through rigorous academics and heartfelt service to the community. Thoughtful teaching practices and personalized attention for every child mean that graduates of SBS will be successful as they move onto high school and beyond. SBS has been cultivating the next generation of leaders in Long Beach for over 70 years, by underscoring charitable service as much as academic achievement. SBS believes that children who are taught to make the community a better place, will grow to be caring, moral human beings. Through various school activities, SBS students lead at least six annual charitable initiatives, inspiring them to model Catholic values in their daily lives. Your support of our annual Spring Event allows for capital improvements to the school, which might not otherwise be possible. Additionally, your gift will help to underwrite our Performing Arts program, which serves more than half of the student body through dance, music and drama initiatives as well as our burgeoning Sports & Fitness programs.  St. Barnabas School Spring Event and Theatrical Performance Join us as we present Aladdin Jr., starring the students of St. Barnabas School. More than 400 guests are expected to enjoy our children’s theater and “Support Our Sports” on Friday, April 27th. An additional 300 guests will join us for our Annual Spring Event Gala Dinner, Auctions & Performance on Saturday, April 28th. Your support will help us provide a quality education to the young people in our community and provide resources to renovate and improve our school facilities and classrooms. Funds raised from this year’s event will go towards a comprehensive security system to make our campus safer for all of our students, staff and resources.
