St. Bede’s College Speech Day: Charity
At St Bede’s we support many charities throughout the academic year and this charitable work culminates in our annual pilgrimage to Lourdes.
In May, all our pupils dressed as superheroes for the day to raise funds for Beechwood Cancer Care, a charity which has helped some of our pupils and deserves our support. We raised over £3000 in total; a magnificent achievement and a big thank you to all who donated.
The YGG concert at the Lowry was a superb night and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. It was fantastic to see so much achieved in one evening by the St. Bede’s family. Congratulations to all the pupils who took part, the staff for helping on and off stage and to the parents for supporting the event. Over £11000 was raised for Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention.
Other good causes supported this year include Macmillan Nurses, Francis House and Cafod.
