John Lee Outreach Center – Thrift Shop 1329 Moylan Rd. – P.C. Beach –
(850) 236-5252 We will not be taking any donations until
further notice.
Operated by St. Bernadette Catholic Church, the John Lee Outreach Center serves the less fortunate of our area. Proceeds fund programs to help the needy.
THANK YOU to those who are dropping off their
weekly offerings in the black mailbox in front of the
church entrance, and to those who are mailing in their
contributions. Your donations help us to keep up to date
with paying our bills, which unfortunately are not
“sheltering in place!”
Liturgical Guidance for Mass Attendance
Masses have resumed here at St. Bernadette on a limited basis. Per Bishop Wack, we will follow these guidelines:
All must be in good health and free of symptoms.
All must wear a mask.
All must maintain a 6 foot social distance.
Only members of your household may sit together. (Dispensation of the obligation to attend Mass on Sunday will continue, since it will not be possible for everyone to attend on Sundays. If a person is sick, or is vulnerable to infection, or if they live with or care for someone who is vulnerable, they should stay home.)
Other measures that will be taken to insure the safety of those attending Mass:
Hymnals, envelopes, all loose items will be removed from pews.
Collection baskets will be placed in a common location, not passed around.
Communion to be taken by hand only.
No Precious Blood will be distributed.
Communion procession will be spaced six feet apart.
Other safety procedures as necessary to be instituted as needed.
The Knights of Columbus are a lot more than
pancake breakfasts and spaghetti dinners. If you
think you do not have enough time to become
Knight of Columbus; please note that membership is
not primarily an invitation to do something. It is an
invitation to be someone. Do you have time to be a
good Catholic man, husband, or father? If you
answered yes to any of these, then you have time to
be a Knight of Columbus. We are all about family.
Your family is invited to the Knights ceremonials.
Rather than binge watching a series on Netflix, go to
kofc.org and watch “Into the Breach.” This will
show you and your family what it means to be a
Knight. While you are at the kofc.org website, click
on join. This year you can join for free. Simply type
in mcgivney2020 in the promo code.
