Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, The annual Easter collection for Regina Cleri will be taken up in parishes throughout the Archdiocese of St. Louis on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016. Financial support for Regina Cleri primarily comes from this annual Easter collection and the Annual Catholic Appeal. Under the guidance of Cardinal Joseph Ritter, Regina Cleri opened as a home for retired archdiocesan priests in 1959. Cardinal Ritter was considered ahead of his time for opening Regina Cleri. Regina Cleri offers our priests the opportunity to retire from service and continue to live in an active faith community. Although retired, many of the priests residing at Regina Cleri continue to assist in archdiocesan parishes, schools, Catholic organizations, nursing homes, and hospitals. They celebrate Mass, assist with Reconciliation, visit the sick, attend parish events, and serve as spiritual leaders/counselors. Please consider supporting the retired priests of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. These priests have served our archdiocese well and deserve both our prayers and financial support. We are very fortunate that the Archdiocese of St. Louis is able to provide excellent and proper care for our priests at Regina Cleri. Sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Reverend Robert J. Carlson Archbishop of St. Louis

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna!” At each Mass we join in the same cry, proclaiming Jesus as the “one obedient unto death, even to death on the cross.” He, now our glorious Lord, shares his work with us when we take up the cross of our baptism and follow him on the way to glory. The man on the donkey leads us step by step through the gates of heaven into his paschal mystery. Follow him confidently, full of faith. Hosanna!

The Five First Saturdays Devotion Our Lady of Fatima Promised all the Graces

Necessary for Heaven if a Catholic Finished the Five First

Saturdays Devotion

"Whether the world has war or peace depends on the practice of this devotion, along with the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This is why I desire its propagation so ardently, especially because this is also the will of our dear Mother in Heaven." - Sr. Lucy (March 19, 1939) During her July 13 apparition at Fatima, Our Lady said to Lucia, "I shall come to ask.....that on the First Saturday of every month, Com-munions of reparation be made in atonement for the sins of the world." On December 10, 1925 Our Lady completed her request for the Five First Saturdays and gave her great promise. "...Tell them that I promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salva-tion all those who, in order to make reparation to me, on the First Saturday of five successive months, go to confession, receive Holy Communion, say five decades of the Rosary and keep me company for a quarter of an hour, meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary."
