Final Four Letters - #4 – Grateful Dear Friends, Thornton Wilder (the author) stated “We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.” My heart is full and I am fully alive in the Spirit thanks to all of you. These past nine years have flown by and yet certain moments stand out illuminated by the light of Christ. I thank you for this journey. I am grateful to Bishop Barnes for entrusting this community of faith to my care and service. This community is where I was able to learn and grow in many ways. You will always be a part of my heart and spirit. A few special words of gratitude are due to many of you. Thank you to our children and youth who share their passion for Christ in visible and unique ways. We need your energy both NOW and in the FUTURE. Thank you to those who have shared their journey of marriage with me. I have known some of you as teenagers, engaged couples, and now as parents. Always keep Christ at the center of your home. And thank you to those who have shared their journey of grief with me. It has been a privilege to lead you through this difficult process; burying children, parents, spouses and loved ones. Some died much too soon and yet you carried on with strong faith. You were, and continue to be, an inspiration to me. Thank you to all who strengthened your relationship with Christ and one another on retreats, in bible studies, through small faith communities, and in days of reflection for our adults. Hundreds of you came through and are still yearning for more. Please share your wisdom with the rest of this community on a day-to-day basis. You will continue to inspire Fr. Santos with your quest for knowledge and truth. And a very special word of thanks to all who coordinated and led ministries, organizations, and events. It is not easy to sacrificially give of your time and talent and yet you stepped up and said “Here I am Lord”. Please continue to lead the way with Fr. Santos. This sentiment goes for our leadership teams also. My greatest words of gratitude extend to God for his goodness and His direction. Simon Peter responded three times in the Gospel today to assure the Lord of his love and willingness to feed His sheep. Maybe those repeated words were more to remind his own self of the call of God and the need to respond publicly. Most of you were willing to embrace this new model of a lay leader. Working side-by-side with Fr. Joseph and Fr. David were highlights for me and I am eternally grateful for their wisdom and support. And as I said at the going away, I could not have accomplished any of this without two exceptional Deacons and their wives, along with a staff committed to service and God’s love. You are the best! I say to you - continue to feed one another with the love of God. YOU are a community of believers filled with faith and hope and YOU will together bring God’s love to all people through WORD and action. Thank you for allowing me these nine years of service. Thank you for giving me the room to learn from my mistakes. Thank you for your support, your honesty, and your trust. I will miss you. I am forever in your debt. With peace, Kirsten

Estimados Amigos,

Thorton Wilder (el autor) dijo “Sólo puede decirse que nosotros estamos vivos en aquellos momentos cuando nuestros corazones están conscientes de nuestros tesoros.” Mi corazón está lleno y estoy totalmente viva en el Espíritu gracias a todos ustedes. Estos nueve años han pasado volando y aún así, hay ciertos momentos que se destacan iluminados por la luz de Cristo. Le agradezco por esta jornada. Estoy agradecido al Obispo Barnes por confiar esta comunidad de fe a mi cuidado y servicio. Esta comunidad es donde tuve la oportunidad de aprender y crecer en muchos aspectos. Siempre serán parte de mi corazón y mi espíritu. Les debo unas palabras especiales de agradecimiento a muchos de ustedes.

Gracias a nuestros niños y jóvenes que comparten su pasión por Cristo de manera visible y única. Necesitamos su energía tanto AHORA como en el FUTURO. Gracias a quienes han compartido su viaje de matrimonio conmigo. He conocido a algunos de ustedes como adolescentes, como novios comprometidos y ahora como padres. Mantengan siempre a Cristo en el centro de su hogar. Y gracias a quienes han compartido su viaje de dolor conmigo. Ha sido un privilegio conducirlos a través de ese difícil proceso; enterrando a niños, padres, esposos y sus seres queridos. Algunos murieron demasiado pronto y a pesar de eso ustedes siguieron con una fe fuerte. Fueron y continúan siendo, una inspiración para mí. ¡Gracias a todos los que fortalecieron su relación con Cristo y con los demás en los retiros, en los estudios bíblicos, a través de pequeñas comunidades de fe, y en días de reflexión para nuestros adultos. Cientos de ustedes vinieron y aún anhelan más. Por favor, compartan su sabiduría con el resto de la comunidad día a día. Ustedes continuarán inspirando al Padre Santos con su búsqueda del conocimiento y la verdad. Y una palabra muy especial de agradecimiento a todos quiénes coordinaron y condujeron ministerios, organizaciones, y acontecimientos. No es fácil dar de sacrificio su tiempo y talento y aún así, ustedes se acercaron y dijeron “Aquí estoy Señor”. Por favor sigan mostrando el camino con el Padre Santos. Este sentimiento va para nuestros equipos de liderazgo también.

Mis mayores palabras de gratitud se extienden a Dios por su bondad y Su dirección. Simón Pedro respondió tres veces en el Evangelio de hoy para asegurarle al Señor su amor y buena voluntad para alimentar sus ovejas. Tal vez esas palabras repetidas eran más para recordarse a sí mismo la llamada de Dios y la necesidad de responder públicamente. Algunos días fueron difíciles. Pero la mayoría de ustedes estaban dispuestos a adoptar este nuevo modelo de un líder laico. Trabajar junto con el Padre Joseph y el Padre David fue lo más destacado para mí y estoy eternamente agradecida por su sabiduría y apoyo. Y como dije en la fiesta de despedida, yo no podría haber logrado todo esto sin dos excepcionales Diáconos y sus esposas, junto con un personal comprometidos en el servicio y amor de Dios. ¡Ustedes son los mejores!

Yo les digo - continúen alimentándose unos a otros con el amor de Dios. USTEDES son una comunidad de creyentes Cristianos llenos de fe y esperanza y USTEDES juntos llevarán el amor de Dios a todos a través de Palabra y acción. Casino Bus Trip to “Fantasy Springs”

Come and join the knights of Columbus on their bus trip on July 9th going to Fantasy springs Casino in Indio,CA

The donation to go is $30.00 and the Casino provides a $30.00 incentive for the passengers on the bus. The bus departs promptly @ 9:00 AM from the St. Frances Cabrini church (Back parking lot) 12687 California St. Yucaipa and returns at 4:30 pm.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION registrations will be on Tuesdays only, 10:00am to 5:00pm, from July 8 to August 12 in the church office. There will be only one Sunday Registration on August 10 after all masses. Information packets will be mailed to families registered in our church data base. Bring your completed paperwork with you. If you need a packet you may pick one up on any of those days. Please be prepared to pay your total fees at the time of registration.
