Didyouknow...Theimportanceofusingyourenvelopestotithe?If you are asked to be a Godparent, a Sponsor for Baptism or Con irmation, one of the requirements is to obtain a letter from your parish that states you are in good standing and attend Mass regularly. The best way to do this is by using your contribution envelope. Each family has a family number, which is the number that is used to identify each family, and is printed on the outside of your envelopes. If you use regular envelopes, please legibly write your family number on the outside of the envelope.

BaptismRemindersWe are excited to welcome your child as the newest member of God’s family and our parish family through Baptism. For requirements and to sign up for the baptismal class, please contact Laura at the front of ice at 770-382-4549.

"THANKYOU"seems so shallow when your response has been so overwhelming. When I stopped by church this morning I could hardly believe all the items already there. You are amazing - those who signed up, those who donated items and those praying for Family Promise. Sincere appreciation to all. May God bless all as we strive to do His work. -Jane Vaughan

PeaceandJusticeDiscussionGroup Our peace and justice discussion group will resume our meetings on Monday, October 11th, at 7:00 p.m. We will end shortly before 9:00 p.m. in order to clean up and put things in order. We have printed, collated and made a booklet for each of you. We will be discussing the Seven Themes of Catholic Social Teaching. The irst theme we will discuss is the Life and Dignity of the Human Person. Human life is sacred and we will talk about caring for one another by de ining ways to prevent con licts and to resolve them by peaceful ways. We will, as usual, have a light dinner while we contemplate the issues. We are planning some guest speakers who will have expertise in the subject for the evening. We will begin with a discussion on Immigration. There are several types of immigration. We will address both voluntary and forced immigration. Mr. Sam Njoroge, a member of our parish, will be our irst guest speaker and he will address one of the most recent issues of forced immigration. Sam will discuss the issue of the Lost Boys of Uganda. A commercial movie was made about this incident. Luckily, we have Sam to educate us in an up close and personal presentation. Moderators will be Dian and Lenore. If you have any question or suggestions, we welcome your input.

Copyright (c) J. S. Paluch Co.
