Iglesia San Francisco de Asís Epiphany of the Lord — La Epifania del Señor
Our Mission— Nuestra Mision
We, the Parish of St. Francis of Assisi, guided by the Holy Spirit, are a Christian Community called by God to take part in the mission of love and truth in the world.
With firm faith in Jesus the Christ and the Holy Gospel, we find our strength through prayer and the Sacraments,
that we may become God’s servants to our sisters and brothers.
hermanos.

Dear Parishioners and Friends, Happy New Year! As we begin a new year, many people make all sorts of resolu ons that will make the new year spe-cial. May I propose one for your considera on? During this new year let each of us find ways to par cipate more in not only the life of the parish, but in par cular, the Mass. How wonderful it would be if each person at church would respond to the prayers and hopefully join is singing the songs. Let ask the Lord to open our mouths and proclaim Him in word and song. We have come to consider the gi s the Magi brought as a foreshadowing of Jesus’ role in salva on. We believe the meaning of the gi s to be Christologi-cal. Gold is presented as representa ve of Jesus’ king-ship. Frankincense is a symbol of his divinity because priests burned the substance in the Temple. Myrrh, which was used to prepare the dead for burial, is offered in an cipa on of Jesus’ death. Have a blessed New Year! In His Peace. Fr. Martin Queridos Feligreses y Amigos, Paz y bendición!
