Anthony’s Welcome

Dear friends,You may have seen on the news or possibly on Youtube recently the violinist whose performance at a Jewish orthodox synagogue was interrupted when the mobile 'phone of a member of the audience went o. Slovakian Lukas Kmit was playing a lovely solo piece when a rather intru-sive and less than lovely Nokia ringtone rang out. He brilliantly took it in his stride and gave an impromptu virtuoso rendition of the ringtone. It's one of the best instances of dealing with an intrusion I've seen. I'll bet Nokia end up using it in their 'phones. As I get older I nd I'm becom-ing less tolerant of many intrusions. Of course they can take dierent forms, especially in this modern age. Vehicles rushing by too fast, loud music from cars, noisy neighbours (not actually really a problem in a vicarage!), people trying to sell you things over the 'phone, junk post and emails – I expect you've got your own list. I certainly have to guard against grumpiness when it comes to this, and I don't always succeed in keeping my calm! We all need a certain amount of 'space', a time and a place somewhere

during the week when we can enjoy just being ourselves without interrup-tion or hassle. Of course, I'm aware that people who live on their own might actually enjoy a little more intrusion on occasions. But the vast majority of people tend towards enjoying a certain amount of privacy, and intrusion that is unwelcome or unexpected can often be perceived as at best inconvenient and at worst dangerous. The problem with this is that we can end up with a society or a community where people don't relate very well to each other. Our houses become our fortresses. 'An Englishman's home is his castle' can end up being taken to the extreme; perhaps we don't like anybody we don't know calling at the door or we always expect the worst when we answer the 'phone. I'm often mystied when I hear people talking about Christianity in terms of 'intrusion'. People shy away from things like a friendly invitation to an event in a church building because they think they're going to get 'Bible bashed' or religion is going to be 'rammed down their throat'. I realise that in the past many people were made to attend church or Sunday school, or felt that there was too much emphasis on a very restrictive moral code. I can understand why some might want to react against that and why they perhaps feel Christianity and church have done them a disservice.

Gardening PageWindow Leaks! No, not what you thought at rst, I love leek and potato soup, tell a lie as I love the avour of Leeks full stop!So how about starting some leeks o now in pots on your window sill ,Autumn variety of carentan 2 is ideal, sow them thinly in a tray of potting compost and cover them lightly, pop them on your sill and keep them moist. When green shoots start to appear, they are ready for a green house, cold frame, or you could just protect them with eece, although I have not tried it with such young plants!Plant them out in March and half the crop can be dug up in the middle of July as a baby leek treat!About the 3rd week of the month start some lettuces o if you have a mind to, sow them indoors or a greenhouse if you have one, as soon as the second pair of leaves show, get them to as sunny a space as you can and peg a plastic bag over them, you would be surprised the way they come on!Parsnips can be sown from mid-February, as can peas, onions, and radishesHappy growing ,and don’t forget it’s good to join a horticultural society as not only can you gain wonderful knowledge from people who have been growing for years, but all your seeds, potatoes and everything you need is so much cheaper

Hello friends,Who would have thought that

holding a dinner party would cause so much trouble?

Levi was a tax collector – one of the most hated jobs in Jesus’ day. They were rich because they cheated and lied, taking extra money from their customers.

Jesus called Levi to follow him and he did. To celebrate, Levi invited crooks and sinners to join him.

The pharisees (religious leaders in Jesus’ day) didn’t like it. So Jesus told them that he was like a doctor: helping sick people get better.

Jesus can give everyone a changed life – that’s something worth asking him for!

Love Barney

Who needs a doctor? Levi gave a large dinner at his home for Jesus … The Pharisees [were] offended. “What is he doing eating and drinking with crooks and ‘sinners’?” Jesus [said] “Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I’m here inviting outsiders, not insiders—an invitation to a changed life, changed inside and out.” Luke 5:27-32 (The Message)

However, my bet is that if you were to analyse how much has actually been forced on people, especially younger generations, the truth would be that not a lot has been forced at all. I'd love to be able to delve into the background of many of the more vocal 'militant' atheists around these days, who seem preoccupied with slating Christianity rather than simply provid-ing credible codes for living and spiritually fullling alternatives to faith in God. I wonder how many are coming at things from a background of some sort of hurt, so their stance is more a personal reaction than a reasoned argument. After all if, as they contend, Christianity is really a spent force in the world, why do they seem to get so angry and frustrated by it? I would argue that the reality is very few Christians create an intrusion into people's lives. Most believers I know simply want to share the good news they've discovered and the amazing relationship they have with Christ. They do so not by 'Bible bashing' or pushing their faith at people but by inviting them to come and hear, or by showing they care about others. Jesus gave us the pattern of invitation himself. We read how he invites people to follow him, to knock on the door, to seek or to open the door and let him in. He always respects that we have freewill, the freedom to accept or reject his oer. Like many churches, St George's tries to make this our model. We want to show God's love in practical ways. We run things like Alpha, where

people can come to a meal, hear a talk and discuss it without having to agree necessarily (our next Alpha starts on February 20th, by the way – contact us for more information). What we don't want to do is thrust ideas at people or try to ram anything down their throats. Having said all this, I have to say that after I accepted God's gracious invitation many years ago I have actually found that he is a welcome intrusion in my life. I never felt anyone coerced me or pushed Jesus at me before I came to believe, and I know I still have my freedom of choice in the matter of faith. However, I'm actually glad that my life has been 'interrupted' ever since. I honestly think that if I hadn't become a believer in Christ my life would have been second-rate. Spiritually, it would have been like living behind closed doors or net curtains and I would never have discov-ered the adventure and the excitement of a life of following this amazing person. Sometimes it can be scary and I wonder what he'll ask me to do next, but it's never dull. How I wish more people would discover this for themselves, instead of living lives that are closed to the possibilities, scared of intrusion and fearful of being changed. It's almost like they'd prefer that ringtone to the beautiful sound of the violin. Not really much choice in my book!

With best wishes,

Anthony.

FOREWORD I did not write the following article, which I believe was penned by an organisation called Prayer for Israel (PFI), but I do believe that Christians should give thought to God’s plans for the Jews. It is interesting that although Britain lost its empire shortly after reneging, in 1947, on the Balfour Declaration, which had been endorsed by the League of Nations at a conference in San Remo in 1922, and which would have seen the Jews get back their Biblelands before World War Two; and Germany suered badly after being respon-sible for the Holocaust during WW2, both countries are once again amongst the richest in the world. Have these nations now learnt the lesson not to interfere with God’s plans for the Jews? Only time will tell. The Gaza Strip (mentioned below) has now been handed over to the Palestinians for self-administration. The disgraceful way various British govern-ments responded to the plight of the Jews from the signing of the San Remo Agreement in 1922 until the handing back of the Palestin-ian mandate in 1947 is a stain on British history, and needs to be acknowledged by British politicians and understood more widely by the peoples of this island. Now is an important time for Christians to be reecting on God’s purpose for the Jews because momentous changes are occurring in the Middle East. Many Western commentators, including our own Prime Minister, David Cameron, have spoken enthusiastically about the push for freedom in certain Arab countries, but, whether the PM chooses to acknowledge it or not, history shows that Islam and democracy are uncomfortable bedfellows. If Egypt is a portent of things to come, Israel may soon nd itself surrounded by belligerent islamist states (with help from other states, such as Turkey, Russia and Iran) whose collective aim is to drive the Jews into the sea. Biblical prophecies of Gog-Magog in Ezekiel Chapter 38 may be coming to pass in this generation. Ken Miller

GOD’S PURPOSE FOR THE JEWS The scriptures explain that the Jews are and always will be God's chosen people and His desire is for them to live in the land of Israel which was promised to them. They are gifted (clever and successful) because they were intended to full a special role of priests to the whole world, Exodus 19:5-6. They have survived as a nation for two thousand years despite not having a country of their own until 1948, Ezekiel 37:14 and 39:28-29. From Jerusalem God's glory will be seen, Isaiah 52:8-10. Romans 11 explains that the Jews failed to believe in Jesus and salvation came to the Gentiles as a result. We gentiles are like wild olive branches grafted on to the main plant, represented by Jesus and the Jews, they (the Jews) are like natural branches, which will be re-grafted on when they acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah. When they do receive Jesus in great numbers, and when all the peoples of the earth have had a chance to hear the Gospel, Jesus will come back, Matthew 23:37-39. When Jews become believers in Jesus they become Messianic Jews. They don't lose their Jewishness, but are completely fullled. The early church was made up of Jewish and Gentile believers and they all used to celebrate Jewish festivals, not to remember the old covenant, but the new. For example, the Passover used to celebrate the escape from Egypt but the early church used it to remember Jesus' deliverance of mankind. The Jews lost their homeland when they were driven out of the Holy Land by the Romans in AD70. Anti-Semitism started in the 3rd and 4th centuries when Constantine rejected the Jews and changed the calendar to reect Christian beliefs. For example, Easter replaced the Passover, instead of circumcision the gentile church introduced infant christen-ing, and conrmation replaced Bar Mitzvah. From then on, 'replacement theology' taught that the church had replaced the Jews as the elect. But as Paul wrote, their gifts and the call to the Jews are irrevocable, Romans 11:29. Martin Luther hated the Jews and when he

722

reformed the church he deformed the view of God's chosen people. Some people think that this is why there is division in the church between the denominations, rather than the unity Jesus prayed for, because it rejected the Jews. Division is the DNA of the Gentile church. The Inquisition, pogroms and the Holocaust were further manifestations of Satan trying to annihilate the Jews. If the Devil were to succeed in that mission, God's promises to mankind could not be fullled, for Jesus said, 'Salvation will come through the Jews'. So it is essential to pray for the restora-tion of Israel to the Jews and for them to believe in Jesus. Jerusalem is God's holy city and always will be: Ezekiel 5:5. The Jews were promised the land if they obeyed God; if they didn't they would be uprooted and scattered. They got a homeland back in 1948 and increased it in size in 1967. Now Jews from all parts of the world are going back to the land and some are realising Jesus was the Messiah, Isaiah 11:12. God said to Abraham, Father of the Jews, that He would bless those nations that blessed the Jewish people, Genesis 12:2-3. God blesses countries that support the Jews, which is why the USA has been blessed. God says He will curse those that curse Abraham's descendants. Israel is precious to God and He will strike at her enemies, Zechariah 2:8. Nations which declined after persecuting the Jews include: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Spain (after the Inquision), Britain (after reneging on the Balfour Declaration in 1947), Germany (after the Holocaust), Communism (after the pogroms). Israel herself has suered at God’s hand because of her disobedience. Down the ages Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Turks, Crusaders and the British have invaded Israel. Most of the Messianic Jews came to faith after 1967 after the 6-day war with 5 Arab countries; Isaiah's vision of Jewish eyes opening to the truth of the gospel is being fullled, as prophesied in Hosea 3:5. The entire New Testament is rooted in the Hebrew Old Testament. The Arab

nations, the Muslims, will only enter their intended destiny when they recognise Israel's Messiah and Israel's claim to the land. Maybe Ezekiel 47:22-23 refers to the Arabs in Palestine. Earlier in chapter 47 Ezekiel quoted specic boundaries to the Promised Land which are quite precise -will they ever be fullled? Paul said the full number of gentiles would come into the kingdom before the unbelieving Jews lost their spiritual blindness. It is possible that the 'times of the gentiles' gave way to the 'times of the Jews' from 1967 on, when the Jews recovered parts of Israel back (the Gaza strip and the West Bank). Gentiles will hopefully repent of anti-Semitism, re-instate the Jewish roots of our Christian faith and start to love the Jewish people, Zechariah 8:23. The time is coming when more Jews will be restored to the Body of Christ, they will be known as worshippers of Jesus and the whole church will recognise Israel as a light to the nations; then the other prophesies of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea and Zechariah will come about. Luke and Zecha-riah agree that Jesus will return to the Mount of Olives, Zechariah 14:4 and Acts 1:11. Before the second coming though there are prophecies stating that the entire world will turn against Israel and will bow down to a godless ruler. It will be essential to be born again with all the spiritual armour on to get through dicult times. What else can we do? Love the Jews, repent of any trace of anti-Semitism in us and intercede for them. Realise that the world's media is prejudiced against God's work and God's people. Only God followers can properly assess history, politics and government. Ask what is God doing behind every current event and ask how we should pray or respond. Find ways to arm and bless the Jews, whether they believe in the Messiah or not. Expect future crises. Encourage and help Jews to return to Israel and to worship in Jerusalem.

Subject: How the Internet began...How the Internet BeganIn ancient Israel, it came to pass that a trader by the name of Abraham Com did take unto himself a young wife by the name of Dot.Dot Com was a comely woman, broad of shoulder and long of leg. Indeed, she was often called Amazon Dot Com.And she said unto Abraham, her husband, "Why dost thou travel so far from town to town with thy goods when thou canst trade without ever leaving thy tent?"And Abraham did look at her as though she were several saddle bags short of a camel load, but simply said, "How, dear?"And Dot replied, "I will place drums in all the towns and drums in between to send messages saying what you have for sale, and they will reply telling you who hath the best price. And the sale can be made on the drums and delivery made by Uriah's Pony Stable (UPS)."Abraham thought long and decided he would let Dot have her way with the drums. And the drums rang out and were an immediate success.Abraham sold all the goods he had at the top price, without ever having to move from his tent.To prevent neighbouring countries from overhearing what the drums were saying, Dot devised a system that only she and the drummers knew. It was known as Must Send Drum Over Sound (MSDOS), and she also developed a language to transmit ideas and pictures - Hebrew To The People (HTTP).And the young men did take to Dot Com's trading as doth the greedy horsey take to camel dung. They were called Nomadic Ecclesiastical Rich Dominican Sybarites, or NERDS.And lo, the land was so feverish with joy at the new riches and the deafening sound of drums that no one noticed that the real riches were going to that enterprising drum dealer, Brother William of Gates, who bought o every drum maker in the land. And indeed did insist on drums to be made that would work only with Brother Gates' drumheads and drumsticks. And Dot did say, "Oh, Abraham, what we have started is being taken over by others."And Abraham looked out over the Bay of Ezekiel , or eBay as it came to be known. He said, "We need a name that reects what we are."And Dot replied, "Young Ambitious Hebrew Owner Operators." "YAHOO," said Abra-ham. And because it was Dot's idea, they named it YAHOO Dot Com.Abraham's cousin, Joshua, being the young Gregarious Energetic Educated Kid (GEEK) that he was, soon started using Dot's drums to locate things around the countryside. It soon became known as God's Own Ocial Guide to Locating Every-thing (GOOGLE).That is how it all began.

The Queen’s Christmas surpriseIt took us by surprise. There we were, gathered round the telly, bellies full from a belt-busting Christmas dinner and ready to watch the family lm when suddenly there was the Gospel being proclaimed. And on one of the most-watched programmes on Christmas Day. Had we fallen asleep? Not a bit of it. Here’s part of what we heard: “God sent into the world a unique person – neither a philosopher nor a general, important though they are, but a Saviour, with the power to forgive.“Forgiveness lies at the heart of the Chris-tian faith. It can heal broken families, it can restore friendships and it can reconcile divided communities. It is in forgiveness that we feel the power of God's love.”The words came from Her Majesty the Queen as she gave her annual Christmas message to the Commonwealth. Right at the end of her speech, she gave a very clear and powerful Gospel message in just a few sentences. Its simplicity yet directness caused the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up. Her Majesty, who has rarely hidden her Christian faith and is often photographed with her family on their way to church, even spoke of her prayer for the Commonwealth.“In the last verse of this beautiful carol, O Little Town Of Bethlehem, there's a prayer:O Holy Child of Bethlehem,Descend to us we pray.Cast out our sinAnd enter in.Be born in us today.“It is my prayer that on this Christmas day we might all nd room in our lives for the message of the angels and for the love of God through Christ our Lord.”This simple message was a Christmas Day tonic and came at the end of a thoughtful

address that saw her talk about how friendships are formed in times of adversity and how “families, friends and communities often nd a source of courage rising up from within” in such times. On her mind were some of the many natural disasters the world had faced over 2011. In her short address – recorded some days before Prince Philip was admitted to hospital for treatment for a blocked coronary artery – she once again showed her care and compassion for the world and the Commonwealth over which she reigns. Now, as we look forward to celebrating the 60th anniversary of her Coronation, we can take comfort not just in her faith, but in the knowledge that she has been praying for us, her subjects.

Why Valentine’s Day?The origin of Valentine's Day is in Rome in the third century, a time when Christianity was persecuted. In this period also forbade marriage between the soldiers and it was they believed that single men performed better on the battleeld than married men because they were emotionally attached to their families. It is in these circumstances when there is the gure of St. Valentine, a Christian priest at such injustice decides to marry couples under the Christian ritual hidden of the Roman eyes.Valentine takes, to protect marriage secret lovers and hosting, great prestige through-out the city and he was called by the Emperor Claudius II to meet him. The priest takes the visit for propaganda of the Christian religion and convinces the emperor to follow the footsteps of Jesus. Although at rst Claudius II was attracted to the religion that the Romans pursued; the soldiers and the Governor of Rome was forced to give up and organized a campaign against Valentine. The Roman emperor changed his mind and ordered the governor of Rome to prosecute the priest. The mission of condemning the priest had to carry out the lieutenant, Asterius. This, when it was before the priest, mocked Christianity and wanted to test Valentine. He asked if he could restore sight to one of his daughters who was blind from birth. The priest accepted and name of the Lord worked a miracle. The lieutenant and his entire family converted to Christianity but not delivered Valentine's martyrdom. St. Valentine was executed on February 14.While he was in jail, the jailer asked him to give lessons to his daughter Julia, based on lessons and hours together, Valentine fell in

love with the girl. The night before his execution, sent a farewell note to the girl, signed with the words "from your Valen-tine", hence the origin of love letters and poems sent in love now and expression farewell "From Your Valentine", known throughout the world thousands of postcards attached Valentine.Valentine became the patron of all lovers and all those who want a partner.Today traders have echoed this holiday and have made it a perfect day to increase sales. Flowers, cards, love poems, dedications, chocolates and gifts of all kinds to make this day loved to show their love and friendship. But we as Christians must remember who Valentine was and celebrate this day from the deep of the heart.

Why do we celebrate Shrove TuesdayOn Tuesday, February 21, kitchens across the country will be lled with the aroma of sizzling fat, the hiss of batter as it hits the frying pan and the sound of laughter as people attempt to toss their pancakes.Shrove Tuesday – or Pancake Day to millions of people – sees the world eat pancakes, and take part in pancake races and parties in a day of celebration and jubilation before Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. Indeed, the day is known as Mardi Gras – Fat Tuesday – in New Orleans and is one big party, while the Brazilians use the day as an excuse for a massive carnival and party. But have you ever stopped to ask yourself why?Our name for it has its origins from the term Shrive – to confess our sins. So traditionally, it’s a day when we bring our wrongdoings to God and ask him to forgive us. During Lent, we once were forbidden to eat certain foods, something that has now become a voluntary act of abstinence. Back then, the list of banned foods included dairy products including eggs and butter, hence them being turned into pancakes. Other contents of the cupboard would be used as llings.Another reason for devouring the contents of the store cupboard is that it was seen as a feast to prepare for the famine in the desert. It’s thought that the tradition of pancake races came about from time keeping: as everyone had to go to church before noon in order to confess their sins, women had to juggle cooking pancakes with getting to the confession booth on time. Legend goes that they went clutching their half-nished pancakes, ipping them as they went. It seems a little far-fetched, but the oldest recorded race dates back to 1445 and took place in Olney, Buckinghamshire. Lent is a time of preparation, in the same way as we now see the New Year as a time to detox and cleanse the body after the Christmas extravagance. Homes were spring cleaned, clothes mended or replaced, and the kitchen prepared for the joy of Easter. Making pancakes is great fun but we should ensure that we place the day in context of our Christian calendar, ensuring that our children know why Pancake Day is a special day in our churches.

How did you hear about Alpha?

We look forward to seeing you.

WHAT IS ALPHA?The Alpha course is open to everyone interested in discovering what Christianity is about. It’s a place where people can come and relax, eat, share thoughts and explore the meaning of life.

HOW ALPHA WORKSAlpha courses are based around small groups of about twelve people, led by one or two hosts whose role is to facilitate and encourage discussion. Courses vary in size and might be held over morning coee or during a lunch hour. Most however are evening courses typically lasting two hours.

LIFE IS WORTH EXPLORING

WHO IS ALPHA FOR?The Alpha course is designed primarily for people who aren’t churchgoers and is open to anyone who would like to attend.

WHY ATTEND THE ALPHA COURSE?Guests come on the Alpha course for many dierent reasons; some want to investigate whether God exists and some have questions they’d like to discuss. Many guests have never been to church and others may have attended church but feel they have never had a personal understanding of the Christian faith.

ALPHA COURSE WEEKLY FORMATThe Alpha course usually lasts for ten weeks, with a day or weekend away in the middle. Each session begins with a meal or refreshments, then a short talk looking at a dierent aspect of the Christian faith each week. This is followed by a time of discussion, when guests can ask questions and contribute their opinions.

There is no charge to attend the Alpha course, although courses may ask for a contribution towards food.

Starts 20th February

Ever wonder why just over 2 years ago I became a born again Christian? Well…….when I was younger I was always sent to Sunday school. As I became older I guess I just stopped going to Church but still thought of myself as a believer. I used to pray in times of trouble and God always seemed to answer my prayers so I didn’t worry much or think much about it (or thank God for answering my prayers). My daughter, Jodie gave birth to our beautiful granddaughter Freya 7 weeks prematurely on Christmas Eve 2008. She wanted to have her Baptised and so we went along to the St Georges. We started going to Church in October 2009 and decided to attend an Alpha course the following February. For me it was so that I could attend Church as an adult (something my family only did at weddings, Baptisms and funerals). Darren decided to join Jodie and me to support us. I can’t say that I found Jesus during that course as I already believed that He existed, but I reached a deeper understanding of the relationship I should have with Him. Freya was born with a hole in her heart and her conditioned worsened to such an extent that after several hospital appointments it was

decided that an operation would be necessary. A video link up to the top heart surgeon in London was arranged. At this time we were about halfway through the Alpha course and had covered subjects about having faith. We were taught that we could pray for healing and we would be heard. Jodie decided to have Freya Baptised on the Sunday before her appointment, which was arranged for the follow-ing Thursday. Bear in mind that we were all still “new” to actually seeing a miracle (one that couldn’t be put down to luck or coincidence). We were told that if we all prayed together then Freya could be healed. We trusted and believed that it was possible. The whole congrega-tion reached out their hands and prayed. During Freya’s video link the surgeon kept asking for more tests with a worried frown on his face. One of those hold your breath moments. I wasn’t there but Darren & Jodie recall it as being a very heart stopping moment. Then he declared that there was nothing wrong with Freya. There you have it. Some may say that a hole in the heart can naturally close and this is of course true, it happened to Brad after 6 years but his heart murmur was small but I don’t know many people

who have been recommended to have an operation to correct the hole. Freya had already been diagnosed with a bad heart prob-lem that was aecting her breathing and which needed an operation to correct. This is my testimony (one which I obviously share with Jodie and Darren). I feel that attending that Alpha course changed our lives in such a positive way that I cannot imagine a world without Jesus, without the Church and without my brothers and sisters. For this reason, I have attended, (and been involved in some way) every Alpha course ever since. If anyone would like to attend the next course (Darren & I will be there), it starts on 20th February. The course is very simple: anyone can attend….you can be a Christian, an atheist (which makes for more interesting group discus-sions) or just curious to nd out why your friend/family member is a

Christian so that you can come to a better understanding. It is a free 10 week course. The evening begins with a meal at 7pm, where we all sit wherever we want and chat about whatever we want (usually what a bad day we all had at work!). The meal is 2 courses of absolutely delicious homemade food and desserts (and no washing up!). Then our Vicar (Anthony) gives a talk (topics can be found on the Alpha website), followed by coee. Then we split into groups and have a condential discussion about the topic we have just heard about. There is no pressure to talk. Some-times people prefer not to, and anything can be discussed and is kept within the group only. There is absolutely no pressure to become a Christian, I cannot stress that enough. If anyone is interested in coming along then please let me know, it may change your life too.

Growing up in California means that Nelson has still not quite got the hang of our British weather and he has certainly not got the hang of a British accent which sounds worse than Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins - so please don't ask him to try it...no, please, don't!

Roles & responsibilities: Intern, Dance liaison, Legacy Jnr cell, Girl's outreach work, Detached outreach work (Canvey & Beneet), Legacy Youth Congregation (Beneet)

About: Florence is from Lancing near Worthing which she describes as "the Canvey Island of West Sussex" which goes to explain quite a lot. Florence is spending a year with Legacy as an intern having completed training in beauty therapy before she goes on to train in the medical eld next year. An outgoing character she is passionate about working with girls building friendships and sharing her faith. Despite her protestations about being from the tough bit of West Sussex she drives a much nicer car than any of the boys can aord with a personalised number plate. She also works part-time inDebenhams but please don't expect a discount!

Now, as we look forward to celebrating the 60th anniversary of her Coronation, we can take comfort not just in her faith, but in the knowledge that she has been praying for us, her subjects.

reformed the church he deformed the view of God's chosen people.

Anthony.
