Diocese of Trenton Jesus Bread of Life Catholic Cemetery
As Catholics, we believe that those who have died are separated from us physically, though spiritually they remain connected to
us. Death does not sever the bonds of communion. Just as we have spent our lives sitting side by side with other parishioners in
our regular celebration of the Sacred Mass, we make our final resting place, side by side with our Catholic brothers and sisters on
the most Holy Sacred ground of the Catholic Cemetery. It is only natural that those who share the same faith in life will wish to
carry on that sense of community in death. This is the beauty of a Catholic Cemetery; a community of believers,
together resting in peace.
Pre-planning for your final resting place is a smart financial and personal decision. Choosing to be laid to rest with a community
of believers in a Catholic Cemetery is honoring your memory, the memory of your most love dones and honoring the most sacred
Catholic tradition. A Catholic Cemetery is Holy Ground. It is a sanctuary of Prayer. It is a Celebration of Eternal Life.

Reconfigured Cohorts to Improve Collaboration Between Parishes From The Diocese of Trenton - The Monitor January 2020 Supplement
With the many profound changes that have confronted the Catholic Church in recent decades, one constant that remains is its
mission to advance the Kingdom of God. The challenge is how best to serve the mission amidst the flow of changes that
significantly impact nearly every aspect of parish life and Church ministry. The Diocese of Trenton has taken proactive steps since
2005 to respond to this challenge, conducting parish planning initiatives on a project-by-project basis in order to establish fewer,
stronger and more dynamic parishes. As implementation of the most recent initiative, Faith in Our Future, nears completion, the
Diocese is taking steps to ensure that effective and collaborative pastoral planning becomes a regular, mainstream part of parish
administration going forward. Terry Ginther, diocesan chancellor and executive director of Pastoral Life and Mission, recently
explained that the framework of parish Cohorts will now be integrated into the ordinary structures of the Diocese – parishes,
deaneries and county vicariates, all under the leadership of the Bishop. Ginther explained that this new generation of parish
planning calls for each of the Diocese’s 10 deaneries (with eight to 12 parishes from the same county) to engage in “common
pastoral activity.” Within a given deanery, the parishes will be grouped into an average of three Cohorts. The pastors together with
a core team of parishioners and appropriate staff will strive to plan for more significant collaboration. The Cohorts will
typically consist of two to four parishes that can plan and work together to address local needs, diocesan priorities and mission.
With further consultation to come, and some decisions to be made about accountability measures, the transition to the new model is
expected to take place this July. For more on this story, go to TrentonMonitor.com and click on NEWS>DIOCESE.

St. John Neumann and St. Isaac Jogues Parishes are partnering with Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN).
IHN is a non-profit, interfaith organization committed to a united outreach by the religious community in Burlington County to provide shelter,
meals and assistance to homeless families. The program provides help, hope and a safe haven for these families while they seek affordable
housing. Our first scheduled Week of Caring is February 23rd through March 1st at St. John Neumann Church. We will be hosting
12 to 18 guests. In addition to food and shelter for the week, we would like to offer services that could assist our guests. So far, we have the
following commitments: A recruiter who will assist in resume writing, interviewing techniques and other suggestions for finding a job; An
individual to discuss available Burlington County social services, food pantries, and Church social services; and An accountant who can assist
guests with tax returns or other tax issues. We are open to other service opportunities that can be provided by the parishioners. We encourage
and are open to new ideas. Some ideas include; Free haircuts, Free dental work, Legal assistance for preparation of simple wills and advance
directives (living wills) The plan is to send our guests, by February 16th, a “menu of services” available during the Week of Caring. Guests will
need to sign-up by February 20, so that the persons offering the services will know by February 21st if guests will be attending.
If interested in providing a service, please e-mail Neil, at [email protected], with your name, phone number, type of service, date, time,
location and how guests could prepare for your service. You will know by February 21st if guest(s) will be attending. Parishioners interested in making a donation to IHN can make their check payable to “St. John Neumann Church.” Please write "IHN" on the
check memo line, and either bring the check to the rectory business office or mail it to: 560 Walton Ave., Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. These
donations will be used exclusively to purchase breakfast and lunch (on the go) food for IHN guests and to pay for necessary permits.
Remaining monies will be used to assist qualified guests in paying security deposits and the first month's rent required to secure a lease.
Given their circumstances, these families often face the challenge of paying three times the rent for a security deposit.
Please e-mail Bill at [email protected] if you can donate any of these items.
