Sightings. Get ready to hear that phrase a lot!
Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,
A word of thanks for the generosity you have shown to this year's Annual Catholic Appeal. To date we have received $123,676 in pledges against the target goal of $124,000 that was given to us by the Diocese this year. That’s 99.7%!
Even though the national economy has been doing better this year, I know that personal economies do not always follow national trends and that many of our parish households are on fixed incomes. For that reason – and for many others – I am grateful for the sacrifices you make to help the many ministries that are funded by the Annual Catholic Appeal.
May God bless your generosity, and may He bless you with health, peace of mind, prosperity, and the assurance of His love for you as we continue along this pilgrimage to our heavenly homeland!
In Christ Jesus, Rev. Joseph MPR Cocucci Pastor

distributes approximately 10,000 pounds of food. You can support our most vulnerable neighbors by making a donation of non-perishable food items. Drop off canned meats, soups, fruits, and vegetables;
boxes of pasta, cereal, baking mixes; jars of peanut
butter and jelly; coffee, tea, and powdered milk at
any of the Catholic Charities locations. Catholic Charities will also accept gift cards to local grocery stores or cash donations. You can find the nearest Catholic Charities service center at www.cdow.org/charities.

THE NATIVITY OF SAINT JOHN THE BAPTIST JUNE 24, 2018
Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God
cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl throughout the world
seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
A Prayer to My Guardian Angel
Angel of God, my guardian dear, Angel sent by God to guide me,
to whom God’s love entrusts me here, be my light and walk beside me;
ever this day be at my side be my guardian and protect me;
to light, to guard, to rule and guide. on the path of life direct me.
Amen. Amen.
Prayer for Those Who Defend Us
Loving Father, we humbly ask Your protection for all our men and women in military service. Give them unflinching courage to defend with honor, dignity, and devotion the rights of all who are imper-iled by injustice and evil. Protect their families and their loved ones, too. Guard our churches, our homes, our schools, our hospitals, our factories, our buildings, and all those within from harm and peril. Protect our land and its peoples from enemies from within and without. We ask this through Christ, our Lord!
During this month of June we celebrate Father’s Day. Perhaps you can think of someone who longs to have a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father. Can you plant the seeds of hope as you speak of our Father’s loving care, and his everlasting promises fulfilled in
the sending of his Son, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit? Ask about the RCIA inquiry sessions for those who are not baptized, are of other faiths, or are adult Catholics who were not confirmed by contacting Nancy Groves 410-208-2854 or [email protected].
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
TOOTSIE ROLL DRIVE
The Knights of Columbus will be conducting their annual Tootsie Roll Drive after all Masses next
weekend. Money collected will benefit the Worces-ter County Developmental Center. Our local council maintains a steady schedule of service to our parish-es, community and school. Please support the Knights of Columbus on your way out of Mass next weekend!
Please pray for the family and friends of William Fanning and Norman Webb
who passed away. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let
perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
