To walk with God
is perfect peace
….a joy forever
Death and coping with loss bring challenges to
overcome as well as opportunities
for healing.
We miss the physical presence of those who
gave us life, who shared our lives,
whom we loved and who loved us in
return.
And yet, faith gives us the
strength to persevere in the sure
and certain hope that we are ever
united with them in the embrace of a
loving God.
All of us, the living and the
dead, are part of the Communion of
Saints that the Church
celebrates in a special way
at St. Joseph Churchwe honor the cherished memory of all who are dear to us.
During the Mass of Remembranceon Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 5pm,we will have theCeremony of Light
in which we will honor the cherished memory of all our beloved dead, especially those who died during this past year and whose funeral rites were celebrated at St. Joseph Parish.
In addition, we would like to acknowledge your loved ones who have died since last November whose funeral rites were celebrated elsewhere. To have someone’s name read in a special prayer litany and to have a candle lit for themduring our Mass of Remembrance, please call Diane the rectory before Tuesday at 973.761.5933
for our
Novena of Masses
for the whole month of November
Please submit the names of your deceased loved ones
and friends in an ALL SOULS DAY ENVELOPES
before Saturday, November 1
if you wish to have a loved one remembered
in our parish Novena of Masses which begins on All Souls Day.
Names submitted will be entered into our PARISH BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE.
This will be placed by the Baptismal font
during the month of November.
Immediately following Mass, light refreshments will be
served in the back of church.
We hope that you can join us in prayer and support.
I am the resurrection and the life;
whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives
and believes in me will never die.
Eternal Rest Grant unto them, O Lord. And let
perpetual light shine upon them.
