School of Business-Department of Commerce: At St. Joseph's College(Autonomous), School of Business is one of the youngest departments started in2015. We offer six UG programmes and one PG programme. The department wasestablished to cater to the growing demand for commerce education and provideprofessionals to the corporate world who can work on diverse platforms andacross functional areas. The Department provides an enabling environment tohelp its students stand out both academically and in shaping them to an overallbalanced personality both in terms of the college’s vision and today’s competitiveenvironment. Our department was ranked 7th in India and 8th in Karnataka byIndia Today Group under the Emerging Colleges category. The faculty membersare committed to nurture an environment for proper growth of intellectual insightsrequired for professional excellence & character formation.

About College: St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Bengaluru, established in theyear 1882 is one of the oldest colleges in the state of Karnataka with a history of134 years. The college aims at a holistic and integral formation of its students,fostering in them a spirit of academic excellence, social concern, and characterformation, shaping them to become “men and women” for others. The motto ofthe College is ‘Fide et Labore’ (‘Faith and Toil’), which serves as an inspirationbehind the vision and the educational praxis of the college. From the beginning,the College has striven to be a state-of-the-art institution for higher education. Itimparts graduate, post-graduate, and research education. The thrust has been onthe pursuit of multi-dimensional educational excellence. St. Joseph's College hasbeen conferred as College of Excellence by the University Grants Commission(India). It was awarded the highest rating, A (3.73/4), in the re-accreditation bythe National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2007.

About the Conference: The aim of the conference is to explore, experience andelaborate the various possibilities faced in today's competitive world. The focus isto emphasise on the various challenges faced by business and to discuss theparadigm shift in business. The conference intends to cover the emerging businessopportunities, issues and challenges. It also helps to analyse the emerging trends,evolving practices & changing skills in Finance which in turn helps to understandthe gap between industry and academia. The present covid phase has brought inserious discussions about the 5 forces in the Healthcare industry structure. Theneed for business organisations and communities to bring normalcy in societythrough Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
