O Lord, we thank you for this wonderful gift of our love which You have generously granted us and which allows us to build a

true communion of persons between us ---provided we remain ever open to You,

the Source of all love.

Help us to continue to love each other and accept each other uncondition-ally, as we get to know each other better.

Make us generous in giving and humble in receiving.

Enable us to communicate to one another all our joys, sufferings,

and desires and all our hopes, sorrows, and difficulties.

Give us the power of Your Love that we may forget self and live for each other so that we may have truly one spirit, in preparation

for the time when You will send us children to add to our

union and love.

Pre Cana Classes at St. Jude Mission Statement: To prepare couples for a Christ-Centered marriage in the Catholic Church.

Purpose: The Archdiocese of Santa Fe requires that any couple prepar-ing for marriage fulfill a marriage preparation course prior to their wed-ding day. Pre Cana is one of the courses that a couple may choose from.

Classes consist of all 4 dates and are held from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Couples are required to attend a Mass on Saturday at 5:00pm follow-ing the last class date.

Upcoming Classes:

January 2017 Classes: 1/3, 1/5, 1/10, 1/12, and. Mass on Saturday, 1/14/2017 at 5:00pm followed by celebration dinner.

March/April 2017 Classes: 3/28, 3/30, 4/4, 4/6, and. Mass on Saturday, 4/8/2017 at 5:00pm fol-lowed by celebration dinner.

July 2017 Classes: 7/11,7/13, 7/17, 7/20, and. Mass on Saturday, 7/22/2017 at 5:00pm followed by cele-bration dinner.

October 2017 Classes: , 10/5, 10/9 ,10/10, 10/12, and . Mass on Saturday, 10/14 at 5:00pm followed by celebration dinner.

Couples should pick up books a few weeks prior to the first class to complete pre-class assignments. If your parish has already provided you with books, please call the St. Jude office to obtain the first assign-ment. The cost per couple will be $75.00.

St. Jude Parish has many talented musicians. While outside musicians are allowed to perform at your

ceremony, we encourage you to also contact the fol-lowing St. Jude musicians, as they are familiar with

the music liturgy of the mass. You would be respon-sible for choosing/scheduling a choir or music for

your ceremony.

Copy of the Certificate of Completion from your Pre-Cana, Marriage Enrichment, En-gaged Encounter or other approved program Focus Test for Bride and Groom Current/Updated Copy of the Baptismal Certificate of the Bride and Groom who are Catholic with notations on back of certificate. “Affidavit of Free Status for Marriage” filled out by parents, relatives or friends; signed by Deacon or Priest Questionnaire for Bride and Groom filled out with help of a Deacon or Priest

Wedding Rehearsal

St. Jude Parish has a team of volunteers that comprise the Wedding Ministry. These vol-unteers assist couples with the wedding re-hearsal, and are available to answer ques-tions about decorations permitted in the church, and how the mass is conducted.
