FAITH FORMATION by Grace Lakatos

This past Sunday, I had the opportunity to publicly acknowledge and

thank one of the young ladies in our parish for going above and beyond “just

showing up” for Mass. After opening comments from Bishop Battersby and

congratulations from Fr. Kerner and Deacon Leonard, it was one of those

“Proud DRE/Mom” moments as I placed a new crucifix necklace on Nicoleta

Uicker at the Timothy Youth Appreciation Event. Over the past few years I

have watched this young girl grow into an amazing young woman. I have al-

ways been able to count on her for a warm, loving smile and a positive dispo-

sition. Thank you, Nicoleta, for all that you do for St. Kateri and for others.

God bless and keep you always.

Also this past Wednesday, our RCIA program closed out the year with a

wonderful pot-luck dinner. Special guests included our various presenters

( Thank you, Fr. Kerner & Deacon Leonard) and our behind the scenes hospi-

tality team (Thank you Maria Caretti & Greg Lakatos). And although not

present at the dinner, a special thanks to our maintenance man, Ric LaFata,

for setting up and taking down our various equipment & hospitality tables

each week and to Mary Masley, our office manager, for the copies you made

to help me out. All of you have made my role in the parish easier and fun.

Thank you again, and God bless you.

Confirmation Preparation classes will meet next on Monday, May 7th

at 6 PM

Adult Confirmation class will meet Thursday, May 10th at 7 PM in the St.

Michael’s room.
