    Chapter1 Brief introduction

    USB 2.0 TV BOX is an USB 2.0 compliant TV box with a complete

    functional IR remote control. It supports current TV standard to let

    users have an instant TV entertainment through USB port of the PC.

    In the meantime, the multiple external input source includes S-VHS,

    Video, Audio connectors allows users to convert the V8, DV, VCD

    video stream to PC for further manipulation (recording/editing). It

    also has optional FM support

    Chapter 2 Getting Started

    2.1 Connect USB 2.0 TV BOX To install the USB 2.0 TV BOX into your computer, follow the steps below: 1. Connect the SVHS output device to S-VIDEO IN. 2. Connect the camera or video recorders video output to VIDEO IN. 3. Connect the video tape recorders audio output to the AUDIO IN. 4. Connect the TV antenna or cable to the RF connector. 5. Connect the USB cable to PC USB Hub.

    2.2 Side Panel Description

    Item Description CH+/CH- Increase/decrease TV channel,

    On the OSD screen, these buttons serve as up/down buttons. VOL+/VOL- Increase/decrease volume,

    On the OSD screen, these buttons serve as right/left buttons or confirm the selection.

    Snap Shot Save current video as BMP or JPG image

    2.3 Device Driver Installation for Windows 2000/XP 1. Place the Driver CD that comes with USB 2.0 TV BOX in the CD-ROM drive, and then prepare the driver installation. 2. Once you connect the USB 2.0 TV BOX to the USB port, you can follow the instruction to finish the driver installation.

    (1). When you insert the USB 2.0 TV BOX, the Found New Hardware dialogue box will pop up. When Windows asks What do you want the wizard to do?, select Install the software automatically(Recommended), then click the Next to continue.

    (2). Click Next to continue.

    (3). Windows will begin installing the driver. If the below Hardware Installation dialog box is displayed, click Continue Anyway to continue.

    (4). Click Finish button to finish installation.

    3. Check your driver from Device Manager after installation.

    3.2 Installing the USB 2.0 TV BOX utility software 1. Insert the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. The setup will automatically appear. 2. Click Setup Utility.

    3. Click Next button to start installing.

    4. Please read the License Agreement and click Next button to begin copying files.

    5. Click Next button or choose different folder for installation.

    6. Select Yes, I want to restart my computer now and click Finish button to restart your computer.

    Chapter 3: Launch the Software 3.1 Running the USB 2.0 TV BOX for first time. Click Start on Windows Taskbar, and then select Program Files\iUSB TV\iUSB TV\iUSBTV For running it the first time, please choose your TV standard and Audio input device, then click Next to continue.

    Then please choose record format and save location, The USB TV Box support BMP and JPEG image format. Please choose your desired format. Then click Next to continue.

    Please choose your country or region and scan TV programs

    Finally, please finish your display setting. Click Finish to begin to watch TV or VCR.

    3.2 Watch TV or VCR

    1. Minimize: To minimize the video playback window, 2, Exit: To exit the video playback window, [Esc] or [ALT]+[F4] on keyboard equalized 3. Browse Image: To launch image browse window and browse the snapshot or saved image in your computer, detailed operation please refer to "Image Browse" page 4. TV wall: show 4x4 TV wall on screen. 5. Snapshot: Save current video as BMP or JPG image 6.Record format: USB TV Box support AVI, MPGE1, MPEG2, VCD, DVD, and HIDVD ,MPGE4serven types of record format. 7. Channel List: This is listing all available TV channel. 8. Channel control: Set channel up or down 9. Pause record: Pause capture video. 10. Start/Stop Record: Record the current playing audio/video, same as "Start/Stop Record" of main panel. 11.Playback: Open playback program and play recorded videos. 12.Switch video source: click it to select TV, Video In or S-Video In or FM 13.Setup: Open parameter setting pages.

    14.Search channel: click to search available TV channel. 15. Volume: Adjust the Volume or mute. 16. Mute: Close/open the current audio output, 17. Double click to full screen display. When you do full screen display, you can use the control bar to set your TV box.

    1. Fix: To fix the displaying panel, not show/hide as mouse drags. 2. Hide Panel: To hide the sub-panel. 3. Snap: Same as "Snapshot" button of main panel. 4. TV Wall: To launch TV Wall function, same as "TV Wall" button, 5. Start/Stop Record: Record the current playing audio/video, same as "Start/Stop Record" of main panel. 6. Channel+: Switch to next channel, same as "Switch Next Channel" button of main panel. 7. Channel-: Switch to previous channel, same as "Switch Previous Channel" button of main panel. 8. Sound slider: To adjust the output volume, same as "Volume Adjust" slider of main panel. 9. Mute: Close the current audio output, same as "Mute" button.

    3.3 Playback Video Click the playback button to open the playback program

    Click Play List button to select video file. Choose the video then click open button.

    Movie Player function List:

    1 About: To show the current version info.

    2 Exit: To exit the video playback window, [Esc] or [ALT]+[F4] on keyboard equalized

    3 Minimize: To minimize the video playback window, click "MoviePlayer" in

    desktop taskbar to restore display 4 Hide Control Panel: To hide video control panel, right click video window

    and select "Control Panel" to restore display 5 Setting: Click to pop-up setting dialog, you can test the video playback,

    detailed operation please refer to "Playback Setting" page.

    6 Browse Image: To launch image browse window and browse the snapshot or saved image in your computer, detailed operation please refer to "Image Browse" page

    7 Step Backward: To step backward play video

    8 Step Forward: To step forward play video

    9 Slow Backward: To slow backward play video

    10 Slow Forward: To slow forward play video file

    11 Play/Pause: Click to play the current video file, click again to pause, click once more to continue play

    12 Fast Backward: To fast backward play video file

    13 Fast Forward: To fast forward play video file

    14 Mute: To close sound, click again to restore.

    15 Volume: Drag the slider to adjust volume, Left and Right arrow on keyboard equalized.

    16 Stop: Stop playing current video file

    17 Snapshot: Save current video as BMP or JPG image

    File is default named as snapshot time and saved into C:\My Pictures folder. You also can open "Snap Setting" option in "Options" dialog, set snapshot saving directory, image format, and select rename after snapshot or not, detailed operation please refer to "Playback Setting" page

    18 Play List: Click to pop-up sub panel below main panel, default list the record file under record directory, from which you can select the needed item to play.

    3.4 Browse Image Click the Browse Image to retrieve the saved pictures. You can use the Browse Image software to control picture zoom in/out, or rename.

    The top toolbar contains many function buttons for you to easily operate:

    Refresh: To renew display snapshot image in current folder.

    Path Panel: Show/Hide path panel on the left of window, which is for you to easily browse and select folder.

    Image Panel: Show/Hide image panel on the left of window, through which you can easily preview snapshot image.

    Set Wallpaper: Set the current image as wallpaper of Windows

    desktop, click the right dropped arrow you can select wallpaper display mode.

    Skin: To set appearance of image browse window, you can select your favorite panel from the right dropped box.

    Zoom out: To shrink display current image

    Zoom in: To magnify current image

    Match Zoom: You can select the matched display mode in the right dropped box.

    Full Size: Shows image at 100% magnification; Fit Image: Magnifies image to fit screen or window; Fit Width: Magnifies image to fit width of screen or window; Fit Height: Magnifies image to fit height of screen or window; Lock: Locks the viewer at the current magnificent level.

    Slide: Start/stop slide show.

    Chapter 4: Using the Remote Control The Remote control allows you to operating TV/AV, such as turning your TV on/off, viewing the TV, and changing the channels and volume. Aim the front of the Remote Control at the Remote Control Receiver and press the control buttons as you would on the infrared rays receiver.

    4.1 Installing Batteries

    Open the back cover of remote controller and put in two pieces AAA batteries (alkaline battery recommended).

    4.2 Remote controller functions

    1. Power: Open/Close TV/AV program. 2. Mute: click to be mute, click again to restore. 3. Volume Up/Down: click to enlarge/reduce volume. 4. Channel Up/Down: click to switch previous/next

    channel. 5. Recall: return to the channel selected last time. 6. AV Source: switch among TV signal, S-VHS and AV

    signal. 7. Snapshot: snapshot. 8. REC: record movie. 9. Freeze: Pause record. 10. Video Default: click to set video brightness, contrast,

    hue and saturation to default value. 11. Video Settings: click to respectively adjust video

    brightness, contrast, hue and saturation (use together with the right two direction key).

    12. Left and Right Arrow: to adjust video properties, e.g brightness, contrast, hue and saturation.

    13. Full Screen: click to full-screen display video; click it again to restore the original size.

    14. Hide Panel: hide/show control panel.
