My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
This weekend I am celebrating my twenty-fifth anniver-sary of ordination to the priesthood. Many relatives, friends and former parishioners of mine will be here on Sunday at 2:00PM as I celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiv-ing to mark the occasion. St. Leo parishioners are invit-ed to attend the Mass as well, as I offer my thanks to God for twenty-five years of ordained ministry.
It seems like the time has gone quickly. I find it hard to believe that I have been a priest for that long! Priestly ministry has been such a gift and privilege. To enter into people’s lives to celebrate joyful times like wed-dings, baptisms, Confirmation and First Communion is such a blessing! To offer God’s consolation and com-passion as people deal with difficulties such as sick-ness and death is another gift which I experience.
The comfort of the Eucharist and Reconciliation are regular parts of our lives as Catholics which we experi-ence on a regular basis. Without the priesthood, we would not have the opportunity to experience these gifts which come to us through Jesus Christ.
I am humbled and in awe of twenty-five years of or-dained ministry to God’s people. I hope that it is in God’s plan that I may continue to serve as a priest for the People of God, that I may help all in knowing the presence, love, and compassion of Jesus Christ for many more years to come!
Have a great week!! Sincerely yours in Christ, Fr. Bill
We welcome our seminarian Jim Boulette!
This weekend we welcome Jim Boulette to St. Leo’s. Jim is a
seminarian who is studying to be a priest for the Diocese of
Worcester. He recently graduated from Assumption College
and will be entering Pope St. John XXIII Seminary in Wes-
ton. Jim will be with us for eight weeks. During his time here
he will be assisting with pastoral and liturgical ministry in the
parish. Please welcome Jim to St. Leo’s.

The staff at St. Leo’s invites all to come and congratulate Fr. Bill on his special day. A light repast will be served by the Hospitality group at St. Leo’s. Please join us and congratulate Fr. Bill.
ADORATION AND BENEDICTION CANCELLED FOR THE
REMAINDER OF JUNE
June is turning out to be a busy month for both Fr. Bill and Fr. Diego, particularly on Fridays. This week both priests are at the Presbyteral Assembly. Another Friday both are taking part in a wedding of a parishioner at another parish. Other commitments in June mean that neither one of us will be present for all or part of the remaining Fridays in June. As a results we will not be holding adoration and benediction for the remaining Fridays during the month of June. We hope to resume adoration during the month of July.
NO MASS THIS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY This week Bishop McManus asks all the priest of the diocese to attend the annual Presbyteral Assembly which begins Wednesday evening, June 6th and continues through Friday, June 8th. The bishop encourages all priests to attend the assembly and gives us permission to cancel our morning Masses so that the priests can attend. In light of the Presbyreral Assembly, we will no have a 7:00AM Mass on Thursday or Friday this week. There will be a Communion Service at the Presentation Convent on both Thursday and Friday at 8:30 AM. Please keep Bishop McManus and the priests of the diocese in your prayers as they gather for our annual assembly.

PARTNERS IN CHARITY
The annual appeal for Partners In Charity is now underway to support the 28 agencies and ministries of our diocese. So far we have collected $45,655.90. We are at 65% of our goal of $70,000. The overall goal of the diocese remains the same at $5 million. We thank everyone who participated last year for their generosity and we hope you will be able to participate once again. By pledging your donation, you are able to spread out the amount over 10 monthly payments. With everyone contributing what they are able, I am confident we as a parish community can reach our goal.
Sincerely,
Fr. Bill
