Thank You - Sacrament Day On Saturday, January 20, 2018, the 2nd Grade First Communicants and the 8th

Grade Confirmation students from St. Louis Parish buddied up to learn more about

each other but more importantly more about Jesus. The buddy pairs had a

treasure hunt in Church, learned about the items used during Mass, and found

that it REALLY is Jesus in the Eucharist! Please keep them in your prayers as they

continue to prepare to receive these sacraments.

Many thanks to all the volunteers who donated their time, treasure and talent to

make the day a success!

Please Pray for Our Confirmation & First Communion Candidates Our eighth graders will be Confirmed on April 14th and our second graders will be

making their First Communion on May 6th. Please keep those children in your

prayers as they prepare for their sacrament. Paper flames and chalices with the

children’s names are in baskets at the Church exits. Please pick up a flame and

chalice as a reminder to pray for these children.

Aid for the Church in Central & Eastern Europe Donations to this collection support seminaries, social service programs, youth

ministry, pastoral centers, church construction and renovation, and the spreading

of the Gospel Message. We will take up the collection at all Masses this weekend.

Black & Indian Mission Collection—February 18th Next weekend our parish will take up the National Black and Indian Mission

Collection. Our support of this collection helps build the Church in African

American, Native American and Alaska Native communities from coast to coast.

Need Prayer? Prayer needs are addressed in two ways at St. Louis. In the vestibule of church is

a Prayer Request Notebook where anyone, at any time, can write prayer concerns.

The Members of the Prayer and Praise Ministry commit to praying daily for these

intentions. For more urgent prayer needs (illness, surgery, etc.) there is a Prayer

Chain that will get dozens of people praying immediately. To begin the Prayer

Chain, please call one of the following:

Janice Werner, 932-9200 ; Erma Hartman, 934-3678; or Viola Fullenkamp, 934-3316

Ministry of Prayer and Praise Intentions for February For peaceful co-existence among Christians, Jews, and Moslems in the Holy

Land.

That the sick, the elderly, the destitute and the dying of our parish may know

God’s love for them and benefit from the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes.

For those in our parish who are married and those who are preparing for

marriage, that they may remain pure and behold in Jesus, Mary and Joseph

the best models of family life.

For the Catholic Press during February, Catholic Press month, that the Church

may use the media to help form the conscience of every Christian with the

truth of Christ.

That all families will be places of prayer, unconditional love, forgiveness, and

selflessness.
