SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
PRAYER
My Jesus, I believe that you are present
in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you
above all things and I desire to receive
you in my soul. Since I cannot at this
moment receive you sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I
embrace you as if you were already
there and unite myself wholly to you.
Never permit me to be separated from
you Amen.
RESPONSE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Archbishop Vigneron has announced the gradual re-
turn to Mass for all Parishes beginning May 19th.
All other events have been suspended at the directive
of the Archdiocese of Detroit and the Governor’s
“Shelter in Place.”
The parish office is closed until further notice. How-
ever, the voicemail and the email are checked on a reg-
ular basis so please feel free to leave a message.
The church is open for personal prayer every Tuesday
and Thursday from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm and every
Sunday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. Please remem-
ber to practice social distancing.
Our parish continues to need your support in order to
pay our bills and maintain the parish buildings. We
ask that, to the best of your ability, you continue to
make your weekly offertory donations, either by mail
or, if you are coming to church for private prayer or
for Mass, you can drop your envelope in the basket
that is provided for this purpose in the church.

FROM THE DESK OF FR. STEVE
Today we celebrate the glorious feast of Corpus Christi. Corpus Christi literally translated means
Body of Christ. Here in the United States we even
have a city in Texas named after the Body of Christ,
i.e. the Eucharist. What a blessed feast for us to mark
as Catholics.
Many of us made our first communion long ago as
children, and then watched our own kids and grand-children celebrate their “big day” of receiving Jesus’
Flesh for the first time. I often marvel on those days
of First Communion; I love the expression on the
children’s faces. They are in awe; they approach with
trepidation and some are even trembling. It is often
apropos, and somewhat cliché, for the priest in his
homily on that day to challenge the kids and their parents to bring them back to church the following
week to make their “second communion.”
But this idea of “second communion” got me think-
ing this week as I prepared for this Solemn Feast
Day. There is this old adage that is often posted in
Church Sacristies (where the priest vests for Holy Mass). There often is a sign up on the wall that says:
“Priest of God: celebrate this Mass as if it were your
first Mass, your only Mass, your last Mass!”
Today as we approach the Sacred Altar of God,
where Calvary is made present before us, where God
Himself becomes present and wishes for us to feed
on Him, let’s approach like little children making our first communion. “Oh children of God: receive this
Holy Eucharist as if it were for the first time, your
only time, for the final time!”
Happy Corpus Christi! May Our Lord dispense many
Graces upon you this day!
In the Heart of Jesus and Mary,
Fr. Steve

S t e w a r d s h i p — F a i t h F o r m a t i o n Congratulations to the Class of 2020!!!
We are so proud of you!
My name is Alaina Carroll and I am proudly a graduate of the Armada High School class of 2020. Throughout my high school years cross country and track became my passion. Another huge portion of my time was put towards the Junior Leadership Macomb program I was selected for. I participated in a lot of community service events and activities and dedicated a lot of my time to this service organization. This upcoming fall I am attending Saginaw Valley State University. I will be majoring in early childhood education to get my bachelors degree. I will also be running on the cross country and track teams at Sagi-naw Valley. After college my goal is to become a teacher and hopefully have the opportunity to become a high school cross country and track coach.

Do you like to be outdoors? Perhaps
you have a green thumb! Would you
like to help keep our church grounds looking good?
*Then this might be for you! * We adopt a small area, so it doesn’t take much of
our time. However, a little TLC does make a huge
difference in the appearance of our overall land-
scape. Cindy Malburg is the coordinator. Her
phone number is 248-670-1160, if she is not availa-
ble when you call please leave your name and best number to reach you.
* Everyone can help in this way! *
We are also accepting your change and other dona-
tions in the big jar on the table to help purchase
Preen which keeps the weeds down, and to pur-chase mulch.
