BAPTISMS: Every third Sunday of the month at 12:00. Parents are expected to attend Pre-Baptismal Classes. Arrangements to be made at the Parish Office. Only practicing Catholics may act as Godparents. MARRIAGES: Specific time is set for the celebration of marriage on Saturdays. The common Policy for all the Dioceses of New Jersey requires a period of preparation for the sacrament of Marriage, which includes sessions with the parish priest and attendance at either the Pre-Cana conferences or the Engaged Encounter Weekend. Therefore, arrangements are to be made at least one year in advance and before any social plans are finalized. FIRST PENANCE, FIRST EUCHARIST, CONFIRMATION: Though immediate preparation is given to children before receiving these sacraments, it is expected that children receive a Christian education within their family life, through formal religious education classes, and by attending Sunday worship services. PASTORAL CARE OF THE SICK: Arrangements for Communion Calls to the sick at home may be made by calling the Parish Office. PARISH REGISTRATION: Our parish welcomes new members to our faith community. 9am Mass. Melissa Grodzki, grand-daughter of Regina Grodzki, will be

crowning Our Lady. Pray the Rosary!

Please join us at Mass and pray for our Mothers both living and deceased. **************************************** Mary has given us a great weapon in our Spiritual arse-nal in the Rosary. St. Francis de Sales called it "the greatest method of praying". Blessed Alan de la Roche said this prayer is "the store-house of countless blessing." And St. Padre Pio once re-marked that "the Rosary is the weapon given us by Mary to use against the tricks of the infernal enemy." It not on-ly brings us graces, but also is a great way to meditate on the lives of Our Lord and His Blessed Mother! Mary herself once told Blessed Alan that "when you say your Rosary, the angels rejoice, the Blessed Trinity delights in it, my Son finds joy in it too, and I myself am happier than you can possibly guess. After the Ho-ly Sacrifice of the Mass, there is nothing in the Church that I love as much as the Rosary." Remember that Mary always seeks to be a bridge not a barrier to Her Divine Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Don't ever feel afraid to approach her in prayer for grace, strength and her intercession to Jesus for your per-sonal intentions!

St. Mary’s Altar Rosary Society is sponsoring a trip to Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine, Doylestown, Pa., on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.

The bus will leave from our parking lot at 10 am and return approximately 5

pm. The cost is $30 per person and includes the bus trip, a hot lunch and tour. Call Theresa 908-526-7687.

PRAYER SERVICE FOR THOSE TOUCHED BY THE PAIN OF ADDICTION

Many of us struggle to comfort and support our brothers and sisters who have suffered as a result of addiction and/or loss of a family member to an overdose. In an effort to offer spiritual support, a special Prayer Service for those touched by pain of addiction will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at 7 pm at St. Helena Parish, 950 Grove Ave., Edison, NJ. Refreshments and fellowship to follow. Pas-toral ministers will be present at the service to listen to and speak with participants and to offer healing resources. All are welcome.
