St. Michael the Archangel Garland, Texas July 10, 2011
Faith is a gift from God. But like any gift, we must be open to receive it or the gift will not really be ours. To have faith, we must act with faith, that is, we must trust in the One we be-lieve. In other words, we must be willing to be taught and willing to be led. The 3rd Edition of the Mass is an opportunity for us to receive teaching with regard to the Liturgy and to be led into a deeper relationship with our Lord. The new translation will change some of the words we have grown accustomed to hearing, but maybe this small change will renew our experience of Jesus Christ in the Mass.
-Father Joseph

Attention all young adults ages 18-30, singled or married, work-ing or in school, St. Michael’s is starting a ministry just for you! Often this age group slips in the shadows within the Catholic Church and we want to change that. Sunday, July 10th there
will be an “Open House,” after the 6pm Mass in the Youth Room, for all interested in this ministry. This will serve as an informational and introductory social complete with food and
fun. Come, bring your friends and learn more about your faith. We will be answering any questions and would like to know
what you want from this ministry. If you have any questions or would like more information please contact Samantha Silvas in the parish office or by text at 214-597-1292. Find this group on Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Young-Adult-
