THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!

COME, LET US ADORE HIM!! Why do we spend an hour in Eucharistic Adoration?

Any amount of time spent before Most Blessed Sacrament is valuable and beneficial. Listed below are some reasons for spending an hour with our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration:

It is the way to a personal relationship with Jesus. By spending time with Jesus in the adoration, we can establish a truly personal relationship with Him. Because Jesus loves us with an infinite love, we bring an unlimited joy to His Sa-cred Heart when we spend an hour with Him in the Blessed Sacrament.

It’s a generous gift to the Lord of our precious time. It is thanksgiving and gratitude for all the blessings we’ve re-ceived, and in reparation for sin. In the garden He asked his disciples to watch for one hour, “So, could you not stay awake with me one hour? Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)

Jesus gives us His grace. Jesus stays with us day and night in the Blessed Sacrament, calling out to each of us, “Come to me all you who are weary and find life burden-some, and I will refresh you.” (Matthew 11:28)

It brings peace. The Eucharistic brings peace to our hearts, and people with peaceful hearts make a peaceful world.

It allows us to rest awhile. It gives us time to quiet our mind and heart from the busyness of life, and so that we can concentrate a little on Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

It gives us time to listen to Our Lord.

WHEN WE RESUME ADORATION THE FOLLOWING HOURS ARE AVAILABLE:

Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.

St. Patrick’s church has been blessed to have Eucharistic Adora-tion before the Blessed Sacrament for 33 years. Adoration has had a powerful and deepening impact on the spiritual lives of our adorers. Many of our adorers have had their own specified holy hour for the entire 33 years. During these times of isolation be-cause of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had more time to contemplate and discern our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Maybe it’s time to consider and pray about the possibility of having your own Eucharistic Adoration hour, a family hour, or share an hour with another adorer, once we resume our regular Eucharistic Adoration.
