Simply put, prayer is conversation with God. William Barry, SJ calls it “a conscious personal relationship with God”. We as Catholics believe in a loving God who wants to be in a personal relationship with us. We know this through sacred scripture, the tradition of the Church, and through our experience of God. Faith and prayer means turning toward God and engaging in a relationship with our Creator, our Savior, the One who loves us.
ABOUT THE ST. PATRICK PRAYER MINISTRY
The St. Patrick Prayer Ministry began when a Faith in Action group felt the call of the Holy Spirit and discerned the need to pray for others. Since then, many people have also heard the call and joined the ministry. We receive prayer requests for many needs as well as prayers of gratitude for blessings received.
