Book Group Meeting
Our parish book group will meet on August 5th at 9:30 in the parish hall to discuss possible books for the fall. All adults are welcome. Please contact Hilda Kleiman with any questions.
DURING TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY...
St. Paul Parish, with the help of the
Archdiocese of Portland, continues to offer
FREE FOOD BOXES to help those in our
community. Anyone can pick up a box for
themselves and their neighbor. We are
thankful to be a site for the Archdiocese to
help provide food and faith during this
time. Thursdays 1pm-4pm - Tell a friend!
FAITH FORMATION REGISTRATION:
Registration forms are available in the Narthex and in
the parish office for Sunday faith formation for Pre-K
through middle school, as well as for 1st
Communion. Please contact Hilda Kleiman or the
office with any questions. The deadline for
registration is September 6th.. New this year : Register

BAPTISM:
Baptism preparation continues to be offered in English
and in Spanish. Contact Hilda Klein at the parish office
to begin the process (English) or for classes in Spanish
Cristina y Juan 503-884-2473.
CONFIRMATION:
Confirmation candidates will receive the sacrament of
Confirmation on July 25th and August 1st. Please
continue to pray for them! Due to capacity
restrictions, there is a limited number of people that
will be able to attend.
RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS (RCIA):
The RCIA is a process of learning, prayer, and
accompaniment, built on ancient tradition, that
initiates men, women, and children into the Catholic
Church. Are you or do you have a friend or family
member who is interested in learning more about
become a member of the Church through St. Paul
Parish? Please contact Hilda Kleiman in the parish
office. Inquiry meetings will start in mid-September.
ADULT CONFIRMATION:
We have adult confirmation classes available for
active adult parishioners who have not yet received
the sacrament of confirmation. The classes are
ongoing and may be started at anytime. Please
contact Hilda Kleiman in the parish office for more
information.
PARISH UPDATES
SACRAMENTAL PREP AND FAITH FORMATION
Youth Minister Needed! St. Paul Catholic Church in Silverton is seeking a part-time Coordinator of Youth Ministry to oversee Confirmation and the Middle School and High School Youth Groups. This is a "hands-on" position that
is responsible for developing and maintaining a vibrant youth program as an integral part of our Parish community and encourages teens and young adults to participate in the life of the Parish. This ministry leads and coordinates the recruitment, training, and oversight of Core Teams of adults and
teens for our Youth Programs and Confirmation programs and activities. Ability to work independently and take initiative and also function as a collaborative team member of the Parish staff
is necessary. Prior experience and education will be factors in the hiring process and in determining compensation. Candidates
must be a practicing Catholic. To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter that highlights how your
