ATTENTION ALL PARENTS/CARERS - WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Dear Parents/Carers

As you most of you will be aware, currently our KS1 children have no play apparatus to

use in the playground. They do have a mini football pitch, sports equipment and outdoor

toys to play with however, the children in the rest of the school have things to climb and jump on and KS1 are missing out on being able to do this. We also get lots of puddles

when it rains because of uneven surfacing which means they have less space to play in on

wet days.

The school has been trying very hard to save money over the last few years to buy a new

piece of play equipment. We are extremely pleased and excited that we have managed to

almost save enough for a tree house themed play structure which will be installed in the Summer break. At the same time, we are having a new layer of tarmac laid to make the

playground look fresh and new and to stop us getting puddles. We know that the children

and adults are going to love it!

However, we have borrowed the last part of the cost of this project from other areas in the

budget which is why I am writing to you all to ask for your help. We need to raise the final

£3000 by December 2019 from the maintenance fund and from fundraising. We have so far raised £409 but we need all Parents/Carers who have not already paid the mainte-

nance fund for 2018/2019 to please do so before the Summer break. Even if you are not

able to pay the whole amount, if every parent made a donation that they could afford,

however small, we are sure we can reach our target.

We also ask for any ideas and help you can offer for fundraising to help towards the cost

of the project. We have a display in the Reception that will be updated regularly showing how close we are to our target so please keep checking and do your best to support us

with this.

A reminder of the maintenance fund payments we ask for -

1 child £27.00 per year

2 children £42.50 per year

3 or more children £55.00 per year

Thank you all in advance for your support and making your maintenance payment and we

are very much looking forward to enjoying our lovely new playground in September.
