RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS The Religious Education office is open from 9:30AM to 2PM Monday thru Thursdays, Monday thru Wednesday nights from 6:00PM to 8:30PM and Saturday mornings from 9AM to 12PM. Please call (845) 429 – 8824 for more information. Both Confirmation parent meetings have passed. If you did not attend any of the meetings, you will need to go as soon as possible to the religious ed. office to receive important information and dated forms to be filled out. We have two first Communion meetings which are important” One was this past Tuesday in English and the other is November 22nd in Spanish in the school gym and at 7PM. Our first Christmas play practice and meeting was last Tuesday, November 8th. There will be two performances one on Saturday, December 17th at 10AM and the other is on Tuesday, December 20th at 7PM. If your child could not attend, but would like to still participate, please go to our office for more information. All are invited to participate. There will be no class next Wednesday and Saturday due to the Thanksgiving recess. Our office will be closed on those days, too. We will reopen on Monday, November 28th, 2016. MASS ON THANKSGIVING DAY Mass on Thanksgiving Day (November 24th) will be
celebrated at 9AM. We invited you to bring a food item to church on that day. This food will be distributed later in the Thanksgiving season.
The Collection of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) provides funding for groups that make lasting change and uplift the poor in the United States. CCHD’s grants improve education, support economic development, and create affordable housing in low-income neighborhoods. Help us continue to defend human dignity and build communities of solidarity. ANNUAL PARISH BLOOD DRIVE
Hosted by St. Peter and St. Mary Parish, Tuesday, November 22nd, 2016. From 4:00to 8:30 pm, in the parish hall underneath the church. Please bring ID with photo or signature. Eat well and drink fluids before you donate. Walk-ins always welcome.
PEACE AND JOY CONCERT AND RAFFLE This year our concert will take place on Friday, December 2nd. Following the concert our celebration will continue in the school gym with refreshments and our concert raffle. Please mark the date on your calendars.

No habrá ninguna clase el próximo miércoles y el sábado debido a las vacaciones de acción de gracias. Nuestra oficina estará cerrada en esos días, también. CATHOLIC CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT WORKING ON THE MARGINS
The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) works to be a voice of hope for those on the margins of society who experience the realities of living in poverty. CCHD supports programs to heal the wounds of crime and violence, advocate for more just policies, protect God’s creation, and develop strong communities. Your donation to CCHD will help build a society where all have a voice and all know their inherent dignity. In Haddington, Pennsylvania, there is no grocery store that carries fresh produce within its brothers. Residents of this town often purchase cheap processed foods from convenience stores resulting in high rates of diet-related illness like obesity. The Urban Tree Connection works with low income communities to develop community-driven gardening projects that give residents an opportunity to develop their leadership skills and build community cohesion. Thanks to a grant from CCHD, Urban Tree Connection, the parent non-profit of Neighborhood Foods Coop, turns vacant land into space for food production and trains low-income residents to grow and sell food. Nyshae, a member of the community, began by working a s a Teen Apprentice where she shadowed an employee at Neighborhood Foods. She is now one of three new adults hired to run youth programs, continuing a cycle of support and hope. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development funds programs in communities across the United States. By giving a hand up, rather than a handout, CCHD helps people living in poverty join to identify problems, make decisions and find ways to improve their lives and neighborhoods. GOD’S TYM FOR HIGH SCHOOL TEENS God’s TYM our parish group for teens in high school (grades 9 through 12) meets each Sunday. It begins with Mass at 5PM followed by dinner and a meeting. All high school teens are welcome!!

Our parish Mass book for 2017 will open at 9:00AM on Thursday, December 8th, in the rectory. Having a Mass offered for a beloved deceased person, for the needs of a living person or in thanksgiving for some favor or blessing is a practice that goes back centuries.
CAMPANA CATOLICA PARA EL DESARROLLO HUMANO TRABAJANDO DESDE LA PERIFERIA La Campana Católica para el Desarrollo Humano (CCHD por sus siglas en inglés) trabaja para ser una voz de esperanza para aquellos que viven al margen de la sociedad y sufren la realidad de vivir en la pobreza. CCHD apoya programas que sanan las heridas ocasionadas por el crimen y la violencia, abogan por políticas más justas, protegen a la creación de Dios y promueven comunidades sólidas. Su donativo a CCHD ayudara a construir una sociedad en donde todos tengan una voz y todos sean conscientes de su propia dignidad. GOD’S TYM PARA ADOLESCENTES DE ESCUELA SECUNDARIA
GOD’S TYM es nuestro grupo parroquial de adolescentes en la escuela secundaria (grados 9 a 12) se reúne cada Domingo. Comienza con la celebración de la Eucaristía a las 5 PM seguido con una cena y una reunión. Todos los adolescentes de escuela secundaria están bienvenidos!!.
