Elizabeth Ministry — Expectant Mother Blessing
Lighthouse CD Spotlight New Evangelization Ministry
Just in Time For Confirmation!
Presented by Lighthouse
Catholic Youth:
It is through the Sacrament of Confirmation that a Catholic is fully initiated into the Church. Why then do so many newly confirmed Catholics never come back? In this talk, Fr. Mike Schmitz addresses this concerning trend in the Catholic Church with honesty, energy, and humor. Focusing on the true nature of Confirmation, Fr. Mike challenges ALL Catholics to see this sacrament not as a "graduation" from the Church, but as a commissioning by the Holy Spirit to go out into the world and proclaim the Gospel. CD’s Available in the Gathering Space for $3.00 Each.
Fr. George will be offering a special blessing for expectant mothers at these Masses.
This will be an overall blessing near the end of Mass before the final blessing. All mothers awaiting a child through pregnancy or adoption are encouraged to partake. Note, you will not have to leave your pew, stand or be singled out. This is an overall blessing
from the altar for you and your unborn child; for all on their own personal journey to motherhood.
Please stop by and pick up your Complimentary Gift Bag The Elizabeth Ministry will have a table in the gathering space at all Masses.
Please stop by and pick up a complimentary expectant mother gift bag.
Other Complimentary Items Complimentary St. Gerard cards, medals, pamphlets, coins, angels, books will be available for anyone trying to conceive or adopt.
Miscarriage, loss or grief items will also be available. The Elizabeth Ministry looks forward to serving you!

DEANERY AND DIOCESAN NEWS
The Catholic Ministries Annual Appeal helps our parish and the Diocese of Joliet to provide countless ministries, programs and services to support our friends and neighbors in immeasurable ways. A mailing will soon be sent to all parishioners who have not yet made a gift to the CMAA. Despite the severe February snowstorm we encountered over Commitment (In‐Pew) Weekend, we are confident we can still meet our goal if we all partner together. If you have not done so already, I ask that you please reflect on God’s gifts to you and prayerfully consider supporting the CMAA. A gift to the CMAA, no matter the amount, will make a difference! By partnering together, we can continue to spread the Gospel message in our Diocese through our ministries. Thank you for your support.

CLOUD OF WITNESSES The Saints Renew the Church
Bernadette Soubirous was born in 1844. Her devout Catholic parents struggled to provide for their children. God saw the beauty of Bernadette’s simple, humble soul. In 1858, God sent the Blessed Virgin Mary to Bernadette with a message for the world. The Blessed Virgin emphasized the need for reparation and prayer for the conversion of sinners, requested that a chapel be built on the site of the apparitions, and provided a miraculous spring that has healed many people from terrible diseases. St. Bernadette died at the age of thirty-five in 1879. Her body is incorrupt and can still be viewed to this day.
