Mercy Sunday

Dear Friends in Christ Jesus;

Our Society is riddled with conflicts day in and day out in every walk of life. We run into it at work, at school, at home, in our community, in our neighbor-

hoods, and yes even at church. We have conflicts over a raise or not at work. Who should be promot-ed at work? Who should play in the sports game? Who should be in a certain leadership position? We have disagreements with other family members

over clothes, responsibility and personality clashes. Some have conflict with their spouse over issues like money, how to spend their time, values, infor-mation about the other. Even some people spend millions on divorce over conflict. While few others

spend millions to sue others over conflict. We have conflict over miscommunication and the use of re-sources. The truth is if you have relationships with others that relationship will eventually have a con-flict. It could be minor or it could be major. But the

reality is there will be times of conflict. Today's readings give us the best way to tackle these kinds of conflicts. But we need to remember that our atti-tude must be one of seeking forgiveness and recon-

ciliation throughout the process, rather than bitter-ness and retribution. So let us ask the good Lord to provide us with a heart to forgiveness and get recon-ciled.

May God bless you all.

Fr. Robinson
