Dear Parents:
Thank you for following the Daughters of Charity Foundation Guidelines by filling out your TADS
Enrollment form, Financial Aid Application and submitting your required documents to TADS. If you
already did it, Congratulations! you have completed the steps for your child’s enrollment at Saint
Vincent School for the 2020-2021 school year.
If it hasn’t been done, please take the time to complete all these forms on TADS as soon as possible.
Children are not showing up to a school building/classrooms for safety but school is in session and
all Enrollment procedures remain the same and so are the tuition monthly payments. If you need to
pay cash or credit card, please stop by the school office or give me a call if you would like to give your
card information. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 11:00 a.m. Temporary cell
phone (213) 603-1604 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you are having a difficult time please do not hesitate
to reach out to either Mrs. Cardenas or myself.

Estimados Padres:
Gracias por seguir las Reglas de la Fundación de las Hijas de la Caridad llenando su Inscripción, su
Solicitud de Ayuda Financiera y enviando los documentos requeridos a TADS. Si ya lo hizo,
¡Felicidades! usted ya ha completado los pasos para la inscripción de su(s) niño(s) en la Escuela San
Vicente para el año escolar 2020-2021.
Si aún no lo ha hecho, por favor tomen el tiempo para completar todas estas formas en TADS tan
pronto como sea posible. Los niños no están viniendo al edificio de la escuela/salón de clase por su
seguridad, pero la escuela está en sesión y todos los procedimientos de Inscripción permanecen
igual que siempre, lo mismo que los pagos mensuales de colegiatura. Si necesitan pagar en efectivo o
tarjeta de crédito por favor pasen a la escuela o llamen si desean dar su información. Estamos abiertos de
Lunes a Viernes de las 8:00 a.m. a las 11:00 a.m. Teléfono celular temporal de 1:00 pm-4:00 pm (213)

SERVICE HOURS INFORMATION:
Staying at home is still the top method to help reduce the spread of
COVID-19. Here at SVS, the safety of our Vincentian families is
important, therefore, if you have not completed your thirty (30)
service hours for this 2019/2020 school year, we are going to waive
completion of those service hours, without a charge for those
families. If you have completed them, we thank you for your
service.

INFORMACIÓN DE HORAS DE SERVICIO:
Quedarse en casa sigue siendo el mejor método para ayudar a
reducir la propagación de COVID-19. Aquí en SVS, la seguridad
de nuestras familias Vicentinas es importante, por lo tanto, si no ha
completado el servicio de sus treinta (30) horas para este año

MINDSET
REVIEW
Can you believe we are at week 7 of distant learning? Let me say how proud I am of all our families and staff during these difficult times. I hope each and everyone of you, following my weekly newsletters, knows I am here to help and support you as best I can. We will
review all the mindful tools learned and discuss the importance of developing a growth mindset.
Developing Growth MindsetFixed Mindset: Assumes that
intelligence and other qualities, abilities, and talents are fixed traits that cannot
be significantly developed. Growth Mindset: Assumes that
intelligence and other qualities, abilities, and talents can de developed with
effort, learning, and dedication.
As we begin week 7 of distant learning, I would like to focus on the past
mindful exercises to support the development
of a growth mindset. I have presented several
mindful exercises to work on helping us be in the
present moment. Those skills are closely
connected to development of a growth
mindset that focus on effort as a learning and
coping process. This week be mindful of your statements and ask yourself, was that a fixed
or growth statement? Awareness is the first step to developing a
growth mindset.

Keep in mind that due to high amounts of emails received daily we will answer each
question as they are coming in. Please be patient as we answer every question as fast as
possible. Please note that certain questions such as homework questions or accounts
teachers have created passwords for; those should be directed to your teachers.
REMINDER: on the school’s home page there will be a link where SVS has their support
center. There you can find any FAQ and additional information to help find answers to the
