Stacy L. Martin Appointed LFS President & CEO

The Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska (LFS) board of directors and staff welcomed Stacy L. Martin as President & CEO on April 3, 2018.

Martin succeeded Ruth Henrichs, who retired after 42 years of dedicated service.

“I’m excited to return to my Midwestern roots and to join an organization that so proudly and compassionately serves its neighbors with a vision of safety, hope and well-being for all,” Martin stated. She was born in Omaha and raised in Kansas.

Susan Lewis, chair of the LFS board of directors, said, “Stacy is a thoughtful leader with a passion for serving. She brings the expertise, strategic vision and relationship skills necessary to lead LFS into the future. I am excited to welcome to our community a proven leader who will build on the LFS momentum and commitment ‘to express God’s love for all people.’”

Martin came to Omaha from Lutheran Services Florida, where she served as Executive Vice President of Programs. In that position, she provided oversight of 600 employees and programs that included child welfare, guardianship, immigration and refugee services, housing, youth shelters, sexual abuse treatment and behavioral health services. ¡
