WHAT HAPPENED – STAGE 10 (OMNIBUS)

5

CSR (CSR Omnibus) 8. Established regulatory commitment for fixed 5 year review cycle 9. Triggered need for consequential amendments to OMRR and HWR 10. Provided transitional provisions and 1 year transition period (Nov 1, 2017) Other Effects 1. Triggered need for Errata, detailing errors to be corrected in the Stage 11

(Housekeeping) amendment 2. Triggered need for Webinar series for Omnibus changes 3. Required development of 29 new/revised analytical methods 4. Required development of 33 new/revised associated Protocols, Guidance and

other supporting documents

OMNIBUS FAQs

Regulation Consolidation 1. Registrar of Regulations will produce consolidated CSR/HWR/OMRR. 2. Typically it takes from 6 – 12 weeks for these consolidations to be completed. 3. Once a consolidated version is completed by the Registrar of Regulations it is sent

to be posted on BC Laws and sent to the Queen’s Printer to produce hardcopies. 4. Usually it takes 2 – 3 months for the Queen’s printer to produce hard copies.

Excel spreadsheets of CSR/HWR/OMRR standards 1. The government only provides PDF copies of the regulations. 2. The ministry cannot provide Excel spreadsheets of the standards. 3. Check with your analytical laboratory, some labs have complied their own Excel

spreadsheets and may be able to provide you with a copy.

17

NEXT STEPS – NEW ERRORS

The amendments contain new errors which are not covered in Errata version 5 1. To date, these errors are few and of minor consequence (e.g. typographical,

spelling and omission errors). 2. A new errata detailing these errors and their corrections will be posted in

early 2018. 3. It may be possible to correct these errors as part of the Registrar of

Regulations consolidation. If not, these errors will be corrected as part of the next cycle of review.

4. IF you become aware of any new errors in the amendments – please send them to [email protected].
