Additionally, VAT will be charged on all lots prefixed by T at the current rate and on all lots prefixed by F at 5% if sold to purchasers resident in the e.e.C. or collected from our premises by an overseas bidder.

    PHOTOCOPYING SERVICEBlack and white photocopies of most lots in this sale can be supplied on request for a charge of 50p per photocopy (minimum charge £3), or £3 per colour photocopy (20 copies maximum per request), plus postage (airmail where necessary). If the material is not claimed within twelve months of the date of sale, Stanley Gibbons Ltd shall be entitled to dispose of the material to defray accrued storage charges.

    11 10 1610 C P 1862 Black proof of the 6d value, block of four with margin at left from defaced plate printed on card. In 1891, after

    the uniform Leeward Island stamps were introduced, remaining supplies of Antigua stamps and postal cards were sold to a stamp dealer, apparently included in the sale was the original printing plate that had been defaced by gouging. At least two sheets of impressions in black were pulled from the defaced plate. F £200-240
