Stanford Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA®) Course

The Stanford University Center for Immersive and Simulation-based Learning MOCA® Course offers hands-on practice of current techniques, diagnosis and treatment of difficult anesthesia cases and Crisis Resource Management (CRM).

As an ASA-endorsed program, our course can be used to fulfill part of the requirements of the Maintenance of Certification in the Anesthesiology Program (MOCA®) Part IV of The American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). Statement of NeedThe American Board of Anesthesiology now requiresABA diplomates to accrue a certain number of points over 5-year and 10-year periods from activities qualifying for Part IV of MOCA credit in order to maintain certification. This course is designed to meet this requirement for anesthesia delivery pro-viders and is delivered by leaders in anesthesia and the field of simulation-based training. The course offers hands-on practice related to current techniques, diagnosis and treatment of dif-ficult anesthesia cases, as well as teamwork in crisis situations through Crisis Resource Management (CRM) training.

Target AudienceThe course is designed for local, national, and international physicians who practice in the field of anesthesiology.

Accreditation & Credit DesignationThe Stanford University School of Medicine is accredited bythe Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education(ACCME) to provide continuing medical education forphysicians.

The Stanford University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate withthe extent of their participation in the activity.

Course Fee$2,000* per person (fee includes tuition, continental breakfast, lunch, CME credit, parking permit and educational materials).

Cancellation and Refund PoliciesCISL reserves the right to cancel any unfilled courses. In the event that this occurs, enrolled participants will be notified two weeks prior to the scheduled course date. Participants have the option of either receiving a full refund, or transferring their enrollment to the next available course date. All cancellations and schedule change requests received by email made two months prior to course date will receive a full refund. A 15% processing fee will be charged for cancellations made in less than two months prior to the course date. Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled course date will not be refunded.
