PROJECT STATEMENT

Starbucks is my client and their audience consists of coffee drinkers who frequent Starbucks and are a little health conscious because they are seeking out information.

Starbucks is a coffeehouse chain that started in pike place market in 1971 and has grown to over 61 countries with over 20,366 stores. They have a mission of high quality and social responsibility. They want to deliver the best product, while still being environmentally friendly, satisfy-ing their employees and customers, and giving back to the community.

Their website has a mixture of photos and illustrations. When looking for information, you have to click through several places before finding all the information you want.

Because there is a mixture between photos and illustrations, and info graphic will fit quite well on the website. The infograph-ic will also be fun, clean and organized to prevent confusion and portray information as easily as possible.

PROJECT STATEMENT

The target audience is Starbucks customers or prospective Star-bucks customers. People who are looking for a little more information about the drinks the are choosing to consume.

Infographic shares nutrition and recipe information in a fun, self-guided way.

The first obstacle is finding affordance. It is important to find a way to cue the viewer in on where to scroll the mouse to change the infographic. Also, some of the Nutrition facts may not be so appealing to the viewer, so its important to distract the viewer to more appealing things like the recipe, the fun facts or the drink itself, without appearing to hide any truths.

Drink information presented in a colorful, innovative way.

Providing more information about drinks being served has the potential to strengthen the relationship between the customer and the business. Hopefully, by sharing this knowl-edge it will intrigue the customers and keep them coming back to the website and the stores.

This piece has potential to become very cluttered and busy with so much information being offered. It is important to maintain some negative space to give the eye a place, so the viewer does not become overwhelmed.
