Out and About
Our Reception pupils have been learning all about London as part of our topic lsquoOut and Aboutrsquo Both Reception classes went out to see some of the London landmarks they have been learning about We did a lot of walking and our parents got very tired but we held their hands and helped them
along When we walked to the Thames we saw the Shard the Thames HMS Belfast City Hall the Tower of London and Tower Bridge We were very excited to see Tower Bridge as lots of us had been making it in class At City Hall we had to go through security to go inside the building which was very exciting We got back to school just in time for lunch to fill our tummies Many thanks to all the parents who came along and helped us

competition running alongside the fair where
the children were asked to design their very
own front cover for a book The children were
eager to enter and created some wonderful
front covers There were five lucky winners
and they were each awarded a pound5 voucher to
spend at the book fair The book fair proved
to be very popular with our pupils and parents
and spent the most money since 2013 We
will now receive a percentage of this amount
to spend on magnificent books for our

An Autumnal Walk As part of their Autumn topic on the four seasons and seasonal changes Year 1 went on a local Autumn walk to do a little nature spotting Armed with a clipboard and their very sharp senses they looked high and low for things such as autumn leaves conkers squirrels and even worms They worked very hard to spot the various items on their checklist however the most exciting finds were the unexpected spiders and the wild berries hidden right by our school The weather is a little nippy now but wrap up tight and see if you can go on your very own seasonal walk this holiday - there are so many hidden
gems to see in our neighbourhood

then up to us to work out how much
money we would need for our product

enjoyed working together and sharing
our ideas The next step was to present
our business plan to a panel of judges
This was called the lsquoPerfect Pitchrsquo which
involved 5 judges and included the
