Starstruck – a Mystery New from Kathy Rees/Needle Delights Originals

 Announcing... Starstruck – a mystery project in 6 parts from Kathy Rees of Needle Delights Originals. Starstruck is a new MYSTERY project from Kathy Rees. And yes, that means there is NO picture of the finished project available. I can hear some of you saying, “What?” How do I choose? Sometimes it’s fun to be surprised! That said, I’m willing to give you a few hints, so here’s what I can tell you about the project:

• Finished size is 10” x 16” on 18-ct mono canvas. • Cut size of the canvas is 16” x 20” – it’s a big project! • The theme of the mystery is “Stars.” • Like many of Kathy’s designs, the project has a quilt-like feel and it’s solidly

stitched. • The threads – which I am willing to show you – come in 6 colorways and include

7 different Caron Watercolours, 1 Caron Waterlilies, 5 Kreinik metallics, 4 Classic Vineyard Silks, 3 Threadworx overdyed Flosses, 2 ThreadworX overdyed Vineyard Silks, 2 Splendor silks, and 1 Petite Very Velvet.

• The class begins on February 1, 2015 and lessons will be posted on the first of the month through July 1, 2015 – 6 monthly lessons in all.

• All stitches are clearly diagrammed with numbers to make this project achievable for all levels. There are some challenges thrown in there, but Kathy guides you through!

• The design begins with drawing the areas on your canvas – and that part’s not a mystery – Kathy provides you with a clear chart. And this time we have a bonus: If you are someone who doesn’t like drawing your own canvas, Kathy is offering pre-drawn canvases as a kit option.

Important class dates are: November 12 - registration opens December 31 - last day for registration February 1, 2015 - class begins; lessons posted monthly with a total of six lessons. July 31, 2015 - class ends, but classroom remains open at least until July 2016 for questions and pictures.
