Rep. Paul Kohls 2006 Legislative Report

HF1076: Current law does not allow school districts to lease administrative space, even if doing so would be cost effective. This bill provided the Waconia school district an exemption from this statute and saved district taxpayers a significant amount of money.

HF1078: One of our local nursing homes is looking to build a new facility to replace its old building and improve the quality of life for its residents. This bill was necessary to allow the construction of the new facility to go forward.

HF2279: The city of Cologne needed special legislation and financial assistance to build a trail around Benton Lake.

HF2827: A Waconia-based business needed special legislation to obtain a limited wine and beer license to allow it to provide samples during culinary classes.
