    HSK-T vs. HSK-A toolholders

Steadyline bars with HSK-T/A machine side connection are fully compatible with:

    • HSK-T spindles on lathes, for static turning

    operations

    • HSK-A spindles on machining centers, for

    rotating boring operations

HSK-T machine side connection features one driving slot slightly narrower and with tighter

    tolerances than HSK-A.

Tighter tolerances also on the machine spindle driving key.

    Steadyline HSK-T/A toolholders

Steadyline bars feature “HSK-T/A” tapers: a combination of both norms

Behind the gage line: according to the HSK-T norm

    • Tightest tolerances on driving slot,

    required in turning operations

In front of the gage line: according to the HSK-A norm

    • Pre-balancing (for rotating operations)

    • Slot for Balluff chips

    • Front diameter according to HSK-A

    norm, compatible with «HSK-A» and

    «HSK-T» tool changers

Review – Boring heads for Steadyline Rough boring heads dia. 36-69 mm

    Simplicity

    • 2 radial Push/Pull screws

    • Clamping of insert carriers through 4 bolts

    • No need for extra training

Compact design, strong insert carrier design • Robust

    • Reduced weight

    • 90°, meaning less radial forces, for CC09/CC12 ISO inserts

Body in stainless steel, sand-blasted • Resistant to corrosion

    • Long service life

Symmetrical or staggered boring (thru shim) • Adapted to all kinds of applications

    • Efficient

GL Connection • Flexible, rigid, accurate

    Through coolant

Review – Boring heads for Steadyline Rough boring heads dia. 34-69 mm

Simple to use – same principle as A780 fine boring heads

Compact and short design, lightweight and near the mass for best damping performance

Same insert carriers as for A780 series • Bears against head body for stable cutting

    • Less inventory

Fine pitch micro spindle screw • Setting at 2.5µm

    • Easy access to Vernier, ergonomic

Body in stainless steel, hardened • Resistant to corrosion

    • Long service life (can be repaired)

GL Connection • Flexible, rigid, repeatable accuracy

Through coolant • Improved cutting conditions

    • Longer insert life

    Review – Mounting Steadyline

turning/boring bars on machining centres Seco-Capto spindles:

    • use Seco-Capto turning/boring bars

    HSK-A or HSK-T spindles: • use HSK-T/A boring bars

SA spindles (DIN, BT, CAT): • use the shortest Seco-Capto basic arbor (A length ≤

40 mm) to adapt a Seco-Capto bar on an SA spindle

    • If using a Seco-Capto basic arbor with A-length > 40

mm, tuning of the whole assembly is necessary to

guarantee relevant operational outputs of the

Steadyline bar. Please inquire through ZYN.

Always respect the maximum cutting speeds indicated in the user instruction.
