SIDS Platform for SCP within the 10YFP and the Sustainable Tourism Programme

In the outcome document of their interregional meeting, SIDS countries called for the “establishment of a SIDS specific support platform within the 10YFP with emphasis on small and medium enterprises, sustainable tourism, sustainable lifestyles and education for sustainable development…”

UNEP, as the 10YFP Secretariat, will support the development of such a platform, in close consultation with SIDS countries, with it’s initial functions to be launched at the Third International Conference on SIDS, in Samoa, 1-4 September.
