Since engineers are curious, creative and inventive, it’s no wonder there are so many exciting engineering-themed books out there to choose from! We have curated a reading list of suggested ‘STEM Stories’ designed for all ages - to help you to discover engineering as you read.

This list contains just some of our favourite STEM related books available today. With a mixture of classics, fiction and non-fiction - there is something to suit everyone. There are lots of other great STEM-inspired books that we didn’t have room to fit on our list, so we encourage you to keep reading and continue to explore the wonderful world of engineering in literature!

Here are some of the ways you can use our Engineers

Week reading list in your bookshop, school or library…

SchoolsWe want to encourage all students to visit your local library or bookshop and pick up a STEM-themed book from our reading list. There are plenty of exciting titles to choose from to suit all ages and tastes.

Libraries and BookshopsWhy not create an Engineers Week book display? Showcase the STEM in your bookshop or library and highlight some of your best engineering-themed books. We have designed downloadable posters and logos to help you to highlight your display, all of which are available in the libraries section of the Engineers Week website. You can use some of the titles from our list – but feel free to also use any STEM related books you have in stock.

We’d love to see your displays!

So, please email your pictures to us at [email protected] or tweet us on social media using the #EngWeek19 hashtag.
