The first thing I put on my CD back cover was a barcode- a classic convention on CD/DVD back covers, creates verisimilitude as all CD covers need a barcode to scan in shops

After looking at existing CD covers I noticed that another convention was to have the brand of the record label that help produce the CD and some copyright information on the back (in very faint writing, however, still an important aspect). As well as website details for the producers and the band itself

Next I added the background design (which I kept consistent on the front cover, inside and the magazine advert). I also noticed another convention was to have the ‘Compact Disc digital audio’ symbol.

Then I made up some names for songs and decided to place them centred underneath the band name and name of the CD. I thought the gradual reduce in size of each text looked effective for my back cover.

As it is a CD/DVD digipak I added text to show this to the audience and point out what videos are featured on the DVD.
