Meet Our Expert

Jane A. Soxman, DDS, began her career in healthcare as an intensive and coronary care nurse. She attended the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where she taught after her graduation. Dr. Soxman received her specialty training at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Fellow in both the American College of Dentists and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists, as well as a manuscript reviewer and pediatrics advisor for the journal General Dentistry. Dr. Soxman is a seminar instructor for general practice residencies at Allegheny General Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Authoring many articles, Dr. Soxman is the editor of the Handbook of Clinical Techniques in Pediatric Dentistry and lead author for Anomalies of the Developing Dentition. Her conversational style of speaking incorporates a review of the dental literature with evidence-based recommendations and thirty-eight years of practice experience—earning her national recognition as a leader in continuing dental education. She maintains a private practice in pediatric dentistry in Allison Park, Pennsylvania.

Meet Our Course Assistant

William DiZinno, DMD, graduated from Case Western Dental School, completed his post-graduate residency in Comprehensive Dentistry at Bethesda Naval Dental School and earned a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration. He holds a Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry and practiced general dentistry in the Navy for 25 years. He retired in July, 2019, after 18 years of teaching in the dental hygiene program at Southwestern College in San Diego, California.
