TRANSCRIPT

I went through all the shots I had taken of Mia and chose the one which looked the best on my front cover. I chose this shot because she looks slightly serious and has direct eye contact which engages the audience.

Here I have added the logo of my Hi-Hop magazine and made sure that it fits on the page right. I have also added my first feature, this feature was originally in a lighter font and colour however after consulting with a couple of people in my class and my teacher I decided it look better like this.

Next I have added the next feature in the magazine to the left third of the page as this is where the readers eye first looks when they see the magazine. I chose to change the colour and the font so that there would be some contrast on the page. The main headline links to my main image of Mia.

Here I have added the sell line at the top of the page which attracts my target audience. I have also added a price line and a bar

Next I added a puff which reads “Win Beyonce Tickets” This gives my target audience another reason to buy the magazine which will increase sales. I chose Beyonce because she is an artist associated with my target audience. I have also added the next feature onto the left third.

Finally I have added the last two features of the magazine, one in the left third and the other on the right side of the page. I chose artist that were associated with the Hip-Hop genre so that this would engage my target audience.
